burdened by the heavy memories she is forced to carry, it isn't hard for her to conclude that death is inevitable and inescapable to the ones she loves. she is left alone to numb the constant anguish clawing at her insides. it is a strenuous task, but one she knows and is well customed to it, so it doesn't trouble her as much as it would to another.
she cannot hear the subtle harmony the wind carries anymore, nor can she see the beauty in the gentle ripples in the lucent lake as a leaf breaks away from it's branch and places itself in the care of the water.
she has cried herself blue in the face, strangled by the feeling she knows all too well.
she knows grief, she knows how it feels to have it form a noose and strangle you. she knows what its like to feel like you'll never be able to let go, to watch as the string snaps again and again, until you've had enough and still never stop. she knows how it's like to have the honeyed memories wisp away as the dark ones resurface, haunting her mind with the looming and recurring thought of death.
