You were told everything from what was found in Eren's basement: his father's journals, along with proof that there were other people living beyond the walls. You felt your heart leap as you heard the news, but unfortunately it was short lived. Eren gave details that the country across the sea from the walls shared a hatred for your existence, due to being 'Subjects of Ymir'; A long lost lineage of people who could transform into titans. Based on the information found, it was to be assumed that the 'mainland' was getting ready to strike, and the scouts needed to prepare yet another expedition.

As winter fell, the titans ceased their usual march towards the walls, and the months that passed were spent in silence. Once spring had sprung, the military had announced that Wall Maria was titan free, and the refugees were cleared to return home after 5 long years. Roads had begun to be rebuilt, farm land replanted... and the wedding of Captain Levi was the talk of all the walls. You and Levi wanted the ceremony to be small, with only the core scout members present, and Historia as the officiant. Hange insisted on being in charge of planning it all, down to the colors, flowers, and decorations. Jean and Connie helped them, as you and Sasha spent the winter months in recovery. She felt awful and blamed herself for your injury, but you promised it was what any good Lieutenant would do for her squad, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

What felt like days passed, you looked in the mirror as Mikasa was putting the finishing touches on your wedding dress.

"You look lovely, Y/n" Miksasa said softly, tying off the thread and stepping back.

"Thank you, Mikasa. I wouldn't look this way if it wasn't for your tailoring skills." you reply. She smiles as she holds her red scarf to her face. You look at your dress once more and smooth it out. It was a beautiful pearl white with a sweetheart neckline, the sleeves were lace with a vine pattern that went to your wrists, and the skirt was lined with a silver veil that shimmered in the light. The door opened quickly and Hange stepped in, wearing a black suit that fit them perfectly.

"Are we ready?" they ask giddily as they hold out their arm. You nod and loop your arm in theirs, walking towards the castle ballroom. Mikasa hands you a bouquet, filled with white roses and wrapped in a silver ribbon. You look at Hange's arm and grip it tightly, your nerves getting the best of you.

"Just breathe, hun. I promise, he's just as excited as you are." Hange assures. You take a deep breath and loosen your grip, watching the doors open slowly. You smile as you see your squadmates standing in a row: Sasha, Armin, and Historia on the right, Jean, Connie, and Eren on the left. And in the middle was Levi. He wore a silver tux with a matching tie, his hair neatly combed like always, and a single white rose on his chest. He straightens his back and looks at you with such devotion, his lips curved with a heartfelt smile. You continue walking towards him and Hange joins Jean and Mikasa stands beside Sasha. He extends his arm for you and you take it, facing Historia as she lowers her hands in front of her. She clears her throat and looks into yours and Levi's eyes.

"Gosh... if you had told me that I would one day see my lost older sister again, I don't think I would have believed it. But as we stand here today, I couldn't be more proud to be the one to marry my sister to a beloved friend. Humanity would not be here if not for the help of the both of you, and you both deserve the love and happiness you gave your lives to protect." Historia says, her eyes welling with tears. "The bride and groom will now share their prepared vows."

Levi faces you, his hands interlocked with yours as he strokes your hands with his thumbs. "I... will always be yours. Your Captain... your partner... your husband... and your everything. I swear to protect you and always be there for you." he says as he squeezes your hands tightly.

You feel a tear fall to your cheek as his words fill the small distance between you. You take a deep breath and look into his eyes. "I can't remember the last time I ever felt anything but love for you. I am yours... your Lieutenant... your wife and your forever. No matter what the future holds, I will always be yours." Levi grips your hands as you finish reciting your vows, a smile across his face.

"Gosh, I'm tearing up... may we have the rings please?" Historia says as she wipes her tears away. Jean pulls a box out of his pocket, and Sasha pulls one from behind her back. You hand Sasha your bouquet and take the ring out of the box. It was a beautiful silver band with a single stripe of black in the middle. Levi takes the ring out of his box and your eyes widen as you see it. It was a beautiful silver ring with intricate vines engraved in the metal, and in the center was an engraved star.

"Levi Ackerman, do you take Y/n L/n-Reiss to be your wife, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?" Historia says.

"I do." Levi says passionately, slipping the ring on your finger.

"And do you, Y/n L/n-Reiss take Levi Ackerman to be your husband, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?"

"I do," you say longingly, slipping his ring on his hand.

"By the power invested in me as Queen of Paradis, I now pronounce you husband and wife" Historia says, her voice trembling with joy.

Levi doesn't waste any time pulling you by the waist and lifting your chin into his lips. He kisses you deeply and lovingly as everyone around you gives a gentle applause. You both break apart and smile as you feel like you're on cloud nine. You take his arm and walk down the aisle, the scouts and Historia following behind. You reach the front of the castle and see a horse and carriage waiting for you. You climb in and look back at your comrades, Sasha and Historia cry as Hange waves with everyone else. You toss your bouquet in the air and watch as Sasha grabs it with glee. You chuckle and Levi tugs the reins on the horse, riding off outside of Wall Sina. you ride past the open fields, watching as the spring flowers sway and butterflies fly between them.

"Where are we going?" you ask inquisitively.

"You'll see, Mrs. Ackerman." Levi says teasingly.

Mrs. Ackerman... god, that name will be the death of me...
