Imagine #20 Broken Promises

~2 weeks ago~

"Babe, i promise you! I am not going to miss that day. I wont even be late" Cameron says taking a hold of my hands.

"Cameron im serious. This is your last chance dont screw it up!"

"I wont i pinkey promise" He says holding out his pinkey. I look at him then at his pinkey.

"(Y/N) i promise." I wrap my pinkey around his and a big smile grows on his face. He then grabs my face and kisses me.

~Present Day~

"Hes late. Of course I knew it and I still believed he would be here on time. I dont know why I do this to myself." I was telling my best friend, (Y/BFF/N).

I look over at mine and Camerons two year old daughter. I start tearing up. This isnt fair for her. This is her second birthday and her daddy isnt here to spend it with her. I go and sit by (Y/D/N).

"Mommy where daddy?" She looks at me with sad eyes.

"I dont know baby. He will be here soon. How bout you open your presents. Then we will eat cake. Does that sound good?"

"Yeah!" She exclaims and runs over by her presents.

~After the Party~

(Y/BFF/N) and I were cleaning up.
"Mommy I'm tired."

I look down and see (Y/D/N) rubbing her eyes. What time is it? I look at my phone its 22:00. (10:00)

"Oh baby im sorry. Come on lets go get you tucked in okay?" She nods her head yes.

Shortly after Cameron walks through the door.

"Hey baby" he says. I walk up to him and slap him across his face.

"I am done Cameron. You have broken promises one to many times. I am tired of you thinking that you can just walk in here and think everything is okay. Do you know what your daughter asked me today? Do you? No because you werent here! She asked me where you were and I told her you would be here soon. I didnt promise her because I would end up acting like you and I dont want that."

"(Y/N) will you lis...."

"No I will not listen to you!" I yell. " Cameron I want a divorce." I say calm and quiet.

"What? No! You cant leave me. You would be breaking a promise by breaking our vows!"

"Oh shut up Cameron. I know you have been sleeping with your secretary. You broke your vows a long time ago!"

"If you knew about it why didnt you divorce me then."

"Because Cameron I thought maybe he could change. Maybe he will tell me about it and maybe I will forgive him, but I am done. Me and (Y/D/N) will go stay with my parents tomorrow. Then I will start looking for a house for me and her. You can sleep on the couch tonight but you will not sleep with me." I turn away from him and walk upstairs. I shut the door and lock it.

~Camerons POV~

I walk into (Y/D/N)'s room and sit on her bed.

"Daddy?" She says sitting up.

"Baby why are you still awake?"
"I heard you and mommy yelling."

"Oh. Happy Birthday sweetcheeks." I say kissing her cheek.

"Thank you daddy"

"Go back to sleep okay?" I say tucking her back in.

"Okay night daddy i love you"

"I love you too baby girl."

I go back downstairs and get out a pen and paper.

~Dear (Y/N),
I am sorry for breaking every promise I have ever made. I am leaving you and (Y/D/N) the house. You need it more than I do. I will send $7000 every month to help pay the bills and everything my baby girl needs. I am gonna go to my parents and I will see where it takes me. I hope we can still communicate after this. Please tell (Y/D/N) that i love her and im sorry. I will always love you (Y/N). I will be back for my stuff sometime next week.

I finish writing the letter and I drive to my grandparents house.

I wake up the next morning and walk downstairs. I look in the living room and see that Cameron is gone. I walk into the kitchen and find a note.

"Mommy where daddy?"
