"He's going to kill him." Alyanna said nonchalantly.

My eyes widened and I quickly stood up. "What?"

"You don't threaten the big bad God of the Underworld without any consequences." She shrugged and looked down to inspect her long crimson nails. "He'll probably prolong the pain with it too. I mean he was meant to be your guardian, which was an annoyance enough for Hades to bypass, but the fact that this good looking guy was following you around, stuck at your hip." She side of her mouth twitched up. "Ohh he wasn't happy about that. Saying that, his soul isn't technically for Hades to take so before his little speech he was going to just let him live."

"His soul isn't Dean's to take?"

"He's a demigod, so his soul isn't his to take. Unless he hands it over, like your friend Alex did." I ignored her use of the word 'friend' and focused on the words tumbling from her mouth.

"He gave Dean his soul?"

She nodded and I was silent. There was always a price pay.

"So then what can we do about Jayden? He's still safe right?" I stumbled out. My mind trying to process what she was saying. "If he doesn't need to kill him or claim his soul then we can stop this. What can we do?"

"Hmm." She tapped at her chin and pursed her lips. "Nothing. It might be fun to watch."

My teeth clenched at her words. "My friend is about to die."

"Well your friend shouldn't have said what he said. It's his own fault. His own actions."

"You want me out of here right? Why the hell would I go back if there's nothing to go back to?" I threatened. "You need me to cooperate just as I need you."

"Don't threaten me." She took a heavy step towards me.

I mimicked her action and took a step towards her. "Don't threaten me." I raised my right hand and waggled my fingers thinking back to our previous fight.

I wasn't weak. I needed to remember who I was. What I am. What I can do.

Her eyes narrowed but she took a step back, folding her arms. "There's one thing I'm curious about. He showed you the vision. Why would he do that?"

I shrugged. Not knowing the answer either.

"He wanted you to know about the threat. Why? To justify his actions if he killed him?"

"Maybe." I shrugged again.

"No. It's more than that..."

I shrugged my shoulder and wondered around the room, eyeing a small brass trinket box on the dresser.

"You know in your last life he beheaded your fiancé in front of you." I turned around at her words.

"He did that?" My mouth felt dry. There was so much unspoken about between me and Dean, him kidnapping me and bringing me here was one of them, though my past lives were something I never thought to ask about.

"What was I like?" I cleared my throat awkwardly and reached for the trinket so my hands had something to fiddle with. "Back then..."

"Different...but the same."

I lifted an eyebrow and she smirked before continuing. "There's always other people in the mix when he comes for you. And they always end badly....if you can catch my drift."

I swallowed hard. If he beheaded my last fiancé in front of me, I couldn't fathom what he had done to the others.

"And then what?" I take a step back and lean against the table. "I'm okay with it? I just willingly come here with him and forget it all?"

She stayed silent and rolled her eyes at my question.

"So why are you drawn to him?"

"Besides the sex?" She smirked. "He's handsome, rich and has power in this realm. What's not to like?"

"Power..." I repeated under my breath.

Something clicked in my head.

"He wants power over me." My mouth moving at hundred miles per hour. "He's going to kill Jayden in front of me, just like he did my fiancé in my last life. If he can't get me to love him he's going to get me to fear him."

The room was silent as we both took in the words.

After while she cocked her head and winked. "Well have fun with that."

I narrowed my eyes as she smiled sickly sweet and walked out the room.

I went to follow after her, but as I walked out the room I saw Henry walking down this corridor.

As he approached, he met my eyes and I did the only thing I could think of.

I reached for his shirt and pulled him towards me into the room. I quickly shut it and without missing a beat dove my lips into his.

I felt anger and rage as I looked at him, all mixed with sadness and desperation.

He sold Jayden out, but he's also the only person who can stop this.

Would he push me back or kiss me? If the former then he'd surely tell Dean and I couldn't fathom to think of what he'd do to me. If the latter then there's hope.

After what felt like an hour of my lips on his, his lips slowly moved against mine. Slowly by slowly he sped up and the kiss turned rough and desperate. One hand up my dress on my ass and the other on my breast, squeezing and fondling. When he grazed a nipple I moaned softly and broke up the kiss, my head resting on his and our lips inches apart.

"Wow." He breathed, his lips red and a twinkle in his eyes.

"You took the words straight out of my mouth." I laughed.

I stayed silent, thinking through how to say the next sentence, without it being apparent that I'm using him.

His hand still on my ass squeezed and I bit my lip to hold back the moan that was itching to come out. His lips twitched up.

"I hate that we need to hide this." I said carefully.

"Mmhmm, me too." He agreed. I locked my jaw, that wasn't the response I wanted.

"It would be nice to be open about this. But I guess we can't here." I tested.

"Yeah we can't." He agreed again.

I pulled away at once and combed a hand through my hair and straightened my dress, getting annoyed by the minute at his responses.

"Well see you later."

"Where are you going?" He blinked, still dazed by this encounter.

"To Dean. He's waiting for me in his bedroom." I kept it simple and blunt, with the undertones heavy on my words.

His jaw locked and he nodded.

I smiled and walked out the room.

I pushed back the guilt, just hoping that this worked and soon enough I could get out of here.
