My mind was encompassed in black. It felt peaceful and at the same time scary knowing that I was alone in the sea of darkness.

The air around me started to take on a misty turn and faded objects started to take form. A long dark dimly-lit hallway suddenly emerged. I gave in to my curiosity and slowly walked down the hallway - leaving the darkness and entering the light. The hallway led me to a closed white door. No point turning back now. I slowly pushed down the handle and walked inside a bedroom. The door shut behind me and I let out an involuntary gasp.

My focused drifted from the door, onto the couple up against the wall.

I bit my lip as the awkward feeling of being the voyeur of two people passionately attacking each other, dictated my mind. I quickly turned around and faced the door. I tried twisting and turning the doorknob, but it remained locked. The door knob not turning in the slightest.

"Alex," a familiar voice purred.

I stopped in my tracks and turned back around to face the couple. I took a few steps towards them, until I could see their half hidden faces. I swallowed hard and bit my bottom lip enough to draw blood. Nails clawed the back of Alex's muscular back, before quickly taking his black shirt off completely, in between rapid lust-filled kisses.

I felt a strong mixture of anger and confusion. I stared at myself. The same auburn hair, pale skin and green eyes. It was me.

I went over to grab the arm of my mirror copy but my hand went straight through her. I tried again. Yanking at her arm, then Alex, then hers again. My hand kept slipping through like mist or smoke.

Even if it was myself...  Is that real? Am I even real?

The moans got louder. I sunk to my knees, my head and heart beating loud and hard. I looked up from the ground to see her now stripped to her pink lingerie. She clawed at his chest as he cupped her breasts. Her hands trailed down to unbuckled his trousers, when he moved slightly back and away from her reach. "You-" His words faded, becoming more and inaudible. I felt my body unwillingly drift out of the room and through the hallway, until I was back in the darkness.

I woke up, wide eyed and sweaty. I leaned over to check my bedside clock and groaned when it read 2:20 am. I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes. I knew that I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep now. Especially after that dream. But one thought roamed my mind. Was it actually a dream? I rubbed at my slightly swollen lips and fell back on my bed, staring up at my ceiling as I waited for morning to come.

I was stood at my locker when I got the text.

Damn little Ellie moves fast...didn't even give it an hour before she takes Violet's sloppy seconds. It's fine though like Violet said, "If you want him, go for it..."

There were two pictures.

The first was of me and Alex when he was leaning in. From the angle it looked like we were kissing. There was a ghost of a smile on my face and my cheeks were flushed. There was minimal space between the two of us and even so, thinking back I remembered how much I had to enforce the space. How hard it was not to kiss him then and there.

In the second picture Ellie was on his lap with her skirt hitched up and her lips on his. I could only glance at it for a second before I had to turn the screen off.

I felt a hard lump in my throat that as much I tried to swallow down, stayed glued in the same spot. Ellie and Alex?

"Violet." I turned around to see Ellie walking up behind me.

"Ellie, I have no idea who sent that around."

A palm slapped hardly against my cheek. I stepped back in shock. Her eyes teared up, but I knew she would refuse to let them fall.
