17: Peaches and Cream

Sitting in the living room, Y/N nervously chewed on her lips. The hybrids looked at each other furiously, especially at a certain macaw hybrid, who was grinning from time to time. Y/N cleared her throat to gain the attention of the hybrids. "So," she said nervously. "I have been meaning to talk to you about this, but I thought maybe I should take more time to confirm my emotions," she said, fidgeting with her fingers. The hybrids looked at her expectantly. Y/N let out a deep breath. "I don't think this is right. This is wrong. It feels like I am betraying Jae. But I also want to at times give in". She looked up to see Jin had a frown on his face. " Do you regret kissing me Y/N?" He asked looking down, afraid of what that answer might be. Y/N got up and sat beside him.
"Jinnie, my pretty little birdie, look at me," she said coaxing his face towards her. His eyes were glossy and a small pout formed on his lips. Y/N's heart broke looking at his face. "I regret nothing." She said. "I don't regret kissing you, it is just I feel like I am betraying Jae," she said looking down. "I feel feelings, for all of you, that I am pretty sure is wrong. One girl is not supposed to like 7 guys at once. I am really confused about my feelings. So all I am asking is for a little time" she said looking at Jin. He smiled. The rest of the hybrids looked at her longingly. "It's okay Y/N take your time," Yoongi said.
Cooking the dinner, Y/N was focused too much on her thoughts. Suddenly, the smell of burnt butter hit her nose. She broke out of the daze and reduced the flames. Sighing, she put in the veggies and began to stir. Jungkook always sitting on the island sipping on a bottle of banana milk and revising his notes for an upcoming exam. He, Hoseok and Jimin had been taking classes to get a GED and studying computer science alongside. Suddenly, Jungkook perked up. He sniffed the air. The smell of sweet peaches and vanilla cream wafted wildly in the air. "MATE!" He said out loud spooking Y/N. She kept her spatula down and turned around. "Kook?" She whispered. "MATE!" Jungkook squealed and jumped from his chair. In an instant, Y/N was pressed up against the wall. Jungkook buried his face against her neck inhaling the smell. The other hybrids came rushing over. They were also hit by the smell, but the youngest two had to be held back. "J-Jungkook! What are you doing!", Y/N said trying to get the panther off her.
In an instant, Yoongi peeled Jungkook off the girl. He thrashed and struggled. " Go to your room! Now!" He growled at Y/N. Y/N dashed. Entering her room she locked the door and caught her breath. Breathing heavily she sat on her bed, the events replaying in her mind. Suddenly, a thought struck her. "Scent blockers!" She rushed to her purse and fished for the bottle. Taking a tablet she drowned it with water. Looking at the bottle she read the label. "12hours? Didn't- Beomgyu! That bitch!" She sighed. Throwing the bottle down she threw open the door to her bedroom. Grabbing a stick she stormed down. The hybrids were talking near the kitchen when Y/N stormed past them. Looking at the stick in her hands they looked at each other. The normally non-violent and calm girl, turning ferocious was not a normal scene for them. Following her, they reached the landing where they saw Beomgyu hiding behind a huge vase while she tried to hit him. "I SAID I AM SORRY!" he said and immediately ducked down. "I WILL END YOU TODAY!" she said trying to reach for him.

Y/N sat on the living room sofa, huffing. Honestly, she looked like an angry pufferfish. That thought alone made Jimin snicker. "What's funny?" Y/N looked at him with eyes squinted. "Nothing!" He said hiding behind Yoongi with a squeak. Soobin and Beomgyu had left earlier to let Y/N cool down. "Y/N" Taehyung said placing a hand on her shoulder. Y/N looked at him. "You remember you said how you felt attraction towards all of us?" He asked her. Y/N nodded, confused as to how that should matter now. "Well, remember how Jungkook screamed MATE when your pheromones were uncovered?" Y/N nodded.
"Well, you see you are mated to us," Jin said. "All seven of us," Y/N looked at all of them with newfound information. Eyes wide. "Uh. This is new. But I guess it makes sense somehow?" She said trying to understand that herself. "You can take your time Y/N. There is no rush" said Yoongi. Y/N nodded at him with a smile. "Thank you. But I would like to know all of you individually first." She said. "Okay," said Namjoon. "Can Yoongi accompany me to the office tomorrow Jin?" She asked. Jin nodded. "You will be there as well since you are my PA." She said to him. Jin grinned. "You thought I'll leave you alone?" Yoongi gasped "You don't believe me?" He said to Y/N pulling the best puppy eyes possible. Y/N chuckled. "Of course, I do pretty kitty," she said scratching his ears. Yoongi pouted. "I am a tiger. Not a common house cat!" He said offended. "Hey!" Said Jimin offended. Y/N laughed. "Let's go have dinner. Come on!" She ushered the boys towards the kitchen.
