There wasn't much time for them to talk at all as Henley was worried about when the authorities would arrive, but that didn't mean she didn't have a ton of questions. Henley knew that she would have to linger behind to answer any questions the authorities had for her, but she had to make sure the two...well now three men were out of here before then. She had no idea where they would go or where she'd subsequently go after. All of these concerns swirled in her head as she made her way to her bedroom. The bathroom looked the worse. It looked as if a bomb had gone off in there.
Thankfully she had Jimin's good luck. Maybe that was what was delaying the authorities while she came up with a plan. Hobi, Jimin, and Jungkook followed after her to fill her in on as much of the story as they could while she packed.
"So you're telling me you're a werewolf," said Henley as she threw a cherry blossom pink duffel onto her bed that Hobi had gotten her a year or two ago for a present. She cast her eyes up from her packing for a minute to look at Jungkook standing near the foot of her bed as he nodded his head.
"Yes. I was apparently sent here after Jimin," said Jungkook, "And I attacked. I really didn't mean to cause so many problems."
"You're fine. It seems like it isn't your fault," said Henley softly before turning her gaze to look at Hobi, "You on the other hand..."
"What did I do?" asked Hobi.
"You did a lot of things," she said. "For starters, you're lucky Jimin over here can water bend. He could have gotten killed."
"Pretty sure they would have taken him back alive seeing as dead merman aren't lucky at all..." muttered Hobi who ducked out of the way just in time for Henley to lob a pillow his way.
"You know what I mean," said Henley.
"Well, I'm sorry. It wasn't like I put out a merman beacon the second you left," said Hobi.
"I...I know..." said Henley as she tried to settle down. She was glad she hadn't brought Jin to her apartment now. She couldn't imagine what he would have thought if...wait. She lifted her head as she looked over at Hobi. "Did you used to be friends with someone named Jin when you were younger?"
"Jin?" asked Hobi, thinking that the question was odd coming out of nowhere like that, but nodded. "Yes. When I was a young fairy, there used to a be a human that would play with me by the forest. We only knew each other for a small while though because he was only ever a visitor to the region, and he told me his parents were sending him away to school. However, he was one of my very close friends. I missed him when he left and never came back. Why are you asking?"
"What was his full name?" she asked instead of answering Hobi's question. "Do you know?"
"Full name...full name..." muttered Hobi as he tried to rack his brain. "I don't know as if he ever told me. He always told me to call him Jin."
Henley moved to dig out her cell phone, flicking open an internet browser before holding her phone so that Hobi could have a clear view of the screen.
"Do you see this e-cover?" asked Henley even though she could clearly see Hobi's eyes scanning it. "The blonde one...does he look familiar?"
Hobi was silent for a moment before nodding; a wide smile on his face, "Hey! That's Jin! My old friend!"
Henley's face paled when Hobi said that. Hobi looked over at her, wondering why her face had turned whiter than an marshmallow.
"And you're sure that's the Jin you used to know?" she asked Hobi as he enthusiastically nodded his head.
"Yes. Why?" he asked when he noticed her slowly sink down to sit on the edge of her bed. Jimin - who had been standing in the doorway the whole time - watched as she ran the palms of her hands over her knees anxiously.
"Because he is who my sister is trying to get me to marry now," said Henley, "And he claimed he used to have a friend named Hobi..."
"He remembers me!" said Hobi. "Is he doing well?"
"How could you never tell me you were friends with a prince?!"
"I didn't know he was a prince! It never came up when we hung out!"
Jimin moved to enter the room, sitting down beside Henley on the bed. He wondered for a moment if she regretted meeting him since meeting him meant they were connected. Jimin hadn't brought the best of luck into her life either. He had caused her to lose her apartment, and face an uncertain feeling. He had also made it so she couldn't settle with a prince. Jimin began to feel like a burden, but swallowed his own feelings as he moved to put a hand over one of her hands as she still anxiously ran it over her knee.
"Hey..." he said softly. "Take a deep breath."
Henley turned her head to lock her eyes on Jimin's. Their eyes searched one another's for a moment before she did as he said. After she had, she seemed to be a bit calmer.
"Thank you," she said to Jimin as she gave him a genuine smile. He gave her one back, nodding his head as she turned to look at Hobi again.
"I'm sorry for yelling," she said to Hobi. "I just...I have a lot on my mind right now."
"It's okay," said Hobi with a small smile. "We'll figure something out."
"Do you trust Jin?" asked Henley. "Do you think I can trust him?"
Hobi nodded his head quickly.
"He never once made me feel unsafe. He was a very good friend to me, and I missed him when he said he'd have to go away."
Henley flipped the internet browser off her phone. She doubted that Jin made it back to the palace yet. Maybe he could help her get the three men somewhere safe for now. It was really her only option at this point. She had no where else to turn.
