When Namjoon finally started to come around, he thought for sure he was as good as dead. He was struggling to cling to consciousness and the rocking motion of whatever he was currently lying on was tempting him to fall right back to sleep. However - when he became alert enough to realize that his hands were tied behind his back - all tempting traces of sleep vanished completely. He still opened his eyes slowly to not alert his captors that he was awake, looking into the darkness at the outline of their forms at the front of the boat.

"I get that mer people are good luck, but I still don't understand why we're going through this much trouble," said a deep voiced man. "I mean, we kidnapped royalty. We could end up in jail for the rest of our lives or even executed."

"You are so naive. You know just as well as I do why we need that merman," said the other man. "He's the key to the merging of two worlds. Once our mistress has control of both, she'll be the one that is royalty. That king...he won't matter."

Namjoon's blood ran cold when he heard their plan. His breath caught in his throat then as someone suddenly crouched down in front of him with a serpentine smile crossing her lips.

"Well it looks like our little prince is awake," she said, moving to grab his chin with one of her hands. The smile never left her lips as she looked at him as if he was her child.

"It's okay, your highness. You can still rest," she continued.

Even though Namjoon knew that he should be on alert because of what he had just heard and because of the situation he was in, he felt himself begin to relax while listening to her. He stayed in his slack position as she moved to stand up with the smile still on her face.

"Rest, little prince. You aren't needed yet," said the woman as she continued watching Namjoon as he got sleepier and sleepier. "Rest and forget everything you just heard. It was just a dream."

Namjoon felt his eyelids grow heavier as his mind started to feel like it was stuffed with cotton, sleep soon coming to greet him. When Namjoon was fast asleep, Arielle moved to permanently silence her loose lipped crew members.

Jimin stood on the dock by Seokjin's country house, looking out over the water. A few stars were twinkling into view in the dark blue sky. The breeze coming off the waves was enough to chill him, but he had too much on his mind to go back inside where it was warm. He was in the process of wrapping his arms about himself in a self hug when he felt someone draping a blanket about his shoulders. Turning, Jimin saw that it was Henley.

"What are you doing out here?" asked Jimin.

"I came to ask you that question," said Henley, "Though I think I know what you're thinking about."

"Well it's hard not to think about it," said Jimin as he turned away from Henley to focus his eyes out on the water again. "I'm just one person and yet it's all my fault that the kingdom you've known your whole life could be in jeopardy."

"It's not your fault," said Henley. "Did you kidnap him?"

"Henley, don't..."

"Don't what?"

"Don't try to minimize my part in all this," said Jimin as he turned to look at Henley once more.

Both of them just stared at each other for a moment until the wind came up off the water again. Jimin watched Henley shiver, moving to shift the blanket off his shoulders. He was about to cover her with it, but she stopped him.

"Stop. You're cold too," said Jimin even though Henley kept a hand up to keep him from wrapping the blanket about her shoulders.

Eventually Jimin found a way to compromise. He draped part of the blanket over Henley's shoulders while still keeping some over his shoulders. This resulted in the two of them being side-by-side.

"My Mom was wrong," said Henley then out of the blue, causing Jimin to cock a brow in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, she always told me that merpeople weren't capable of feelings - of love," said Henley, "But you obviously are."

Jimin turned to look at Henley, noticing that she suddenly seemed flustered by the words that had left her mouth. The darkness hid the blush that was no doubt on her cheeks.

"I mean...well...you at least care," she mumbled under her breath, trying to backpedal from having used the word 'love'.

Jimin was about to open his mouth to speak when he noticed a light flashing out in the darkness. He turned his head to see Hobi - in fairy form - zipping his way down to where the two of them were. When he reached them, he turned back into his sunshiny human form.

"There you two are! Seokjin was looking for both of you. The kidnappers have called again. They've given us a deadline to meet now."

Jimin pressed his lips together into a tight line, nodding his head. He slipped out from underneath the blanket, wrapping it firmly about Henley's shoulders as she still looked down at the ground. Part of him wanted to console her, but the other part of him was still trying to work through his heartbreak over his ex. As much as he wanted to forget her, she still clung to the pieces of his broken heart.

Before Jimin moved to follow Hobi back up towards the house, he pressed a quick kiss to the side of Henley's head. Henley looked up just as Jimin moved to jog back up to the house. Hobi stayed nearby, looking at Henley.

"Did I interrupt something?"

"No," said Henley with a sigh. "Come on. Let's go back up to the house. We have a prince to save."
