I felt a hand on my shoulder that caused me to turn around. There stood Chuck. The prophet no one had heard from since Michael and Lucifer fell into the pit. Seeing him here was quite a shock.

"Castiel," he said. "My favorite and most loyal son, may I ask what you are planning on doing to my most precious book."

What did he just say son? "Umm, I was going to destroy it."

"Don't do that. Let me take it out of your hands. I am your father."

"No your not," I replied. "I am an angel of the lord. My father is God. The creator of this earth and the creator of the human race."

"I know Castiel. I am he. I am God the creator of earth and the human race. I am your father."

"No you're Chuck, a prophet. The prophet charged with writing the Winchester bible."

"Yes that is true. Chuck was tasked with writing the new bible but, once his job was done, his soul was sent to heaven and I, God, took his body as a temporary vessel."

"I'm going to need you to prove that."

"Fine. What might you have me do in order to prove that I am he."

I didn't know what to say. Everything I could think of could be easily done by a witch as powerful as Rowena. I turned and looked at the Book. I had to burn it, even if Chuck was God. I struck the match and dropped it onto the
Book which immediately caught fire.

"My son what have you done," Chuck said from behind me. "That book was the only thing able to save your beloved Dean."

"If you are God, as you so claim to be, you would be able to save him without that Book." I walked away as I said this. he followed.

"I cannot do that now dearest Castiel. For I say to you, Dean must first admit his love to his lover before anyone can remove the Mark of Cain from your friends arm."

He disappeared after he said this. The Book, now a pile of ashes was gone. Maybe Chuck was God. Who knows. All I can say is the Book is gone. Dean is safe for now.

(Sam's POV)

Dean and I drank for almost and hour before he finally went to bed. Back in my room I went to check on the Book. I looked into the box only to discover it empty. I walked down the hall to Cas' room which I found empty. Great so Cas knew about the Book.

"Cas," I prayed. "Could you please come here. I need you. It's about Dean."

He appeared almost instantly. He looked tired. Maybe he wasn't lying about the weak grace thing.

"Yes Sam what is it?" He asked.

"Where is the Book?"

"What book?"

"The Book of the Damned. It was in my room."

"I destroyed it," he said after a moment. "Crowley told Dean and I of your secret meetings with Rowena. Dean asked me to burn it."

"Why would you do that?" I was utterly shocked that Cas would throw away possibly our only chance at saving Dean. "Don't you want to get rid of the Mark."

"You know I do Sam but Dean thinks the best thing for us is to is to get rid of the Book. He doesn't like the way he feels when it's around."

"I know but I'm worried about him."

"Me too."

(Dean's POV)

After about an hour I went to bed. I hoped Cas had taken care of the Book without any trouble. I was worried someone would hurt him. I sent him a prayer to call me when he was done and I still hadn't heard from him. What if something happened...wait I'm starting to sound like a paranoid wife. Ugh.

I still hadn't made up my mind about the kiss. To be completely honest, I wanted to do it again. I could still feel his lips against mine. His were soft and warm. It still was the best kiss I have ever had, and kissed many a person in my day.

Finally I got a text from Cas. It said "burned the Book. All is done."

Good. I walked out into the hall and saw Sam and Cas talking. Sam must have discovered the book because he was saying something about removing the Mark.

I walked back to my room and shit my door. I felt lonely. I wanted Cas. I needed someone to talk to that wouldn't lie. I needed to talk about the kiss and now was the best time in my mind. I sent Cas a prayer telling him to come to my room when him and Sam were done talking. Man I wanted him around more.
