I left Dean standing next to the car. I could still taste his lips, like beer and burgers. I still felt his hand on my arm pulling me into him. I loved him. I knew that he didn't love me but I truly loved him.
I turned so I couldn't see Dean. As if on cue, Chuck appeared out of thin air. Well at least he wasn't human.
"What must I do to prove myself?" He asked.
"Save Dean," I replied.
"I can not. He must admit his love to his lover first."
"Why? If you are God you could save him."
"The mark is a special curse created for Cain after he wronged me," he said it in a sad way. I swear there was a tear in his eyes. "I made it because he didn't love me. The only way the mark can be removed is for the person to admit he loves someone who loves him back."
"Well then, who does Dean love?"
"I cannot tell you."
"Fine. I don't know what you can do to prove yourself to me." I turned to leave and he grabbed my arm. Pain shot through up my arm causing me to let out a scream. He let go of my arm as Dean came running.
Chuck disappeared before Dean got there. He reached me and put a protective hand on my shoulder.
(Dean's POV)
I ran toward Cas after hearing him scream. I got a glimpse of Chuck before he disappeared. I reached Cas and put my hand on his shoulder.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah. He just grabbed my arm." He began rubbing his arm as he said it. I grabbed at his coat and rolled up his sleeve. A red handprint was on his lower arm. The handprint was similar to the one Cas left on my arm after he pulled me out of hell.
"Wow," I said placing my hand on it.
"So he is God." He looked at it. He leaned over and put his head on my shoulder.
"How do you know?"
"Only God could leave a mark like this on anyone."
"You left a similar mark on me."
"What do you mean?"
