I walk out of the kitchen with a plate in either hand. I walk towards Felix and mom sitting on the couch while avoiding the stacks of boxes littering the room. I place the plates in front of them on the improvised table.

'The news has already started,' mom says.

'I know, I'm almost done.'

'When are you two breaking Damien out of prison?' I hear her ask Felix.

'Soon,' he says.

'I'm sure the hype around the barrier could be cleverly used as a distraction. Everyone would be too happy to care about a prison break.'

Walking back to the kitchen, I can hear the familiar tune coming from the radio. The news reader introduces himself, and starts talking about the new financial plans of the palace. As soon as I walk in with my own plate and sit down, the best news starts.

'And then, the best news in literal centuries,' the caster says. 'It has been confirmed; the barrier is back up!'

I see mom smiling while she's leaning forward towards the radio. Felix is smiling as well. I do the same, not caring about my hair hanging into the food on my lap. The bare room around me disappears as I close my eyes to listen closely.

'We have yet to find an explanation,' the caster continues. 'But the most important thing is that it's back. The water hasn't drained away yet. However, authorities have already shared their plans for pumping the water away, which could potentially be purified to be used as drinking water.'

'Good,' mom comments.

'In well over two centuries, the south of the country will be habitable again. I suggest we make this a yearly holiday!'

Felix chuckles.

'It will take some time for the water to be completely drained, as well as the restoration or re-building of the building which are now under water. Have patience, people. Better times are coming our way!'

He couldn't have been more right with that last remark. Better things are coming our way. Not only for the lower half of the country. Also for us. While I watch the people in front of me, sitting in a mostly empty apartment, I can't help but smile.

Felix
'Remover your account, sir?'

'Yes.'

'Are you sure?'

'Yes.'

The woman looks at me confused.

'Have we not provided you the things you wished for?'

'You have. I just have different wishes. I have a different location for the money I want to spend. So, you know. Having an account wouldn't benefit me anymore.'

'We are the only way to travel to other worlds. Do you know that? You'll lose all your collected points.'

'I know all of that.'

'And you know an account doesn't cost you anything?'

'I do.'

'So... why delete it? Perhaps you'll change your mind later on. We'll be right by your side again when that happens.'

'I don't want that to happen. Please delete my account and all the information that comes with it.'

She observes me for a second. She then nods her head.

'Alright sir. Your account will be deleted.'
