The Unholy (Arifureta X OC)

Yue

Kane POV

Kane: "It's a girl."

We both share a gaze before leaving.

Girl: "Wait, please help me."

Hajime: "Sorry, but we've got a labyrinth to escape."

Girl: "I'll do anything."

Hajime: "You're obviously sealed down here for a reason. Only an idiot would release you."

Girl: "You're wrong, it's not my fault. I'm here because I was betrayed."

Hajime freezes. He then turns around as we both walk back to the girl.

Hajime: "So you were betrayed. And whoever did it felt the need to lock you up way down here. Care to explain why that is? This place ain't a joke. You must have someone scared."

Girl: "The truth is I come from a long line of vampires. I was gifted with great power. A gift I always used to protect my people. But then... one day my ministers said I was no longer needed. My uncle told me that he would rule our people instead. And I was fine with that, really."

Hajime: "So you're some kind of royalty?"

Girl: "Yes. But they said I posed too great a threat. And since they couldn't kill me they sealed me down here."

Hajime: "What do you mean couldn't kill you?"

Girl: "I heal very quickly. My injuries repair themselves."

Hajime: "That the power you were talking about?"

Girl: "That, and I can manipulate mana. Without a circle."

Kane: "Just like you."

Hajime: "I could see why they'd want you killed."

Girl: "Are you gonna help me?"

Hajime looks at me.

Hajime: "You wanna do it?"

Kane: "I have a way we can settle this."

I raise my fist. He does the same. Lowering them three times we draw scissors and rock.

Kane: "Damn, looks like you've got this one."

He steps up while I step back. He places his hand on the cube. As red lighting surges the cube begins to crack and shatter. After nearly a minute the cube fully shatters releasing the girl. She falls onto the ground as Hajime drinks a casing of holy water. The girl then grabs his hand. 

Hajime: "Want some?"

She shakes her head no.

Girl: "You're so warm."

Hajime: "I'm alive. That kinda comes with the territory."

They stare into each other's eyes. Meanwhile I roll mine.

Kane: "Get a room you two."

Girl: "What's your name?"

Hajime: "Hajime. That's Kane."

I half wave.

Hajime: "What's yours?"

Girl: "Give me one."

Hijame: "You want me to give you one? Did you forget yours?"

Girl: "I don't need my old one anymore. I want one that you choose."

He looks her from head to toe.

Hajime: "How about Yue?"

Yue: "Yue?"

Hajime: "Yeah. It means moon where I'm from. Sound good?"

She smiles.

Yue: "Perfect."

She hugs him. The hair on my neck stands making me kick Hajime and Yue away. I then jump back as several spikes land where we just were. We all look to see a massive scorpion has appeared.

Hajime: "I take it that's what's supposed to keep you here."

Yue: "Yes."

Hajime: "Then looks like we-"

Kane: "Hell naw! This bitch belongs to me!"

I launch myself at the scorpion. It swings its pincers which I barrel roll to avoid. My head slams into its head scooting it across the floor. The scorpion shakes its head before sending more spikes at me. I keep jumping back to avoid getting impaled. 

One spike manages to get my foot pinning me down. With that it swings its pincer into my chest sending me into the roof. I fall when the scorpion grabs ahold of me. It sinks its pincers into my body creating deep cuts that gush out blood.

Hajime: "Kane!"

I spread out my arms shattering its pincers. I then kick its chin sending it into the air. Cupping my hands I smile. A tornado of fire forms colliding with the scorpion. It emits a loud screech as it continues to burn. Ceasing my attack the scorpion lands with deep burns all over its body. It hisses at me getting up for round two.

Kane: "That's some tough armor. Looks like I need to kick it up a notch."

My limbs catch fire as I crouch down. Then blasting off I uppercut the scorpion back into the air. I aim my hand developing a smile.

Kane: "Crimson Nuke."

I close my hand. This makes the scorpion explode from the inside out. Fire expels scorching the entire area. I smother the flames as Hajime lowers a rock wall.

Hajime: "You've coulda warned us."

Kane: "Coulda, woulda, shoulda."

Yue: "Maniac."
