Kane POV

Kane: "So what's your name deary?"

Cattleya: "Cattleya."

Kane: "Say, you're kinda pretty for a demon."

She blushes before slamming her fist into my ribs. I hit my back on the wall denting it.

Kane: "Not bad. My turn."

I explode towards her. She swings her rock coated fist at me. I fire a blast from my foot allowing me to vault over her attack.

Kane: "Left yourself open."

I exhale a stream of fire that crashes on top of her. She screams in anger when a stone pillar slams into me. I cross my arms to block it. But that's when Cattleya makes a strange black cat slice open my shirt. I slide to a stop when I spot a giant turtle.

Kane: "Aw crap."

It opens its mouth firing a massive beam of magic at me. I hold my hands out keeping the beam from hitting me fully. I begin getting pushed back as my sleeves start burning away.

Kane: "Damn turtle!!"

I wave my arms dispersing its attack. 

Kane: "Red dawn."

The turtle is ripped apart by a pulse of fire. Not giving me room to breathe a griffin like creature fires a blast at me. It hits my chest ripping my clothes to shreds. I grit my teeth aiming my hand at the griffin.

Kane: "Black sun."

A mini black sun forms in my hand. I then send it at griffin. The second it touches the griffin it bursts into ashes leaving no physical trace of it.

Cattleya: "You. What's your name?"

Kane: "Kane. Kane Morgan."

Cattleya: "Answer me Kane. How is it you came to obtain your power?"

Kane: "Got it from a demon. Why?"

Cattleya: "I want you to quit holding back. Go all out."

Kane: "If you insist."

I relax throwing all forms of control out the window. My body bursts in flames revealing the full extent of my power. When my appearance changes I see the student's faces display utter terror.

Kane: "You wanted my full power. Well here it comes."

I zip to the woman uppercutting her stomach. She gasps as her feet come off the ground. The bird on her shoulder shrieks when I flick it's throat. It tries to squawk only to choke and hack.

Kane: "You're annoying."

The woman displays fear.

Cattleya: "You're not human."

Kane: "Congrats on figuring that out."

I slap the woman to the side. She slides to a stop aiming her hand at me. A massive sphere of magic is launched at me. I catch it shocking her.

Kane: "Is that the best you've got?"

I crush her attack. Zipping to her I punch her jaw. Another cat manages to sink its fangs into my arm. This allows the woman to skewer my stomach with a sword.

Cattleya: "It's over."

Kane: "Not quite."

I place my finger on her stomach.

Kane: "Cherry bomb."

I send a small fireball into her body. It bounces around hitting vital organs. When finished she spits out blood falling onto her back. I catch her returning to normal.

Cattleya: "No. This can't be the end. I'm not ready."

Kane: "Death comes for all. Whether we're ready or not."

Cattleya: "If this is truly the end then answer me this. Is your power control over fire?"

Kane: "Yes."

Tears begin to run down her cheeks.

Kane: "Why're you crying?"

Cattleya: "It's just my husband was able to do that. But he went missing years ago. I spent all this time searching for him."

Her tears increase. I hold her hand. She looks at me.

Kane: "Your husband loved you very much. You were his entire world."

Cattleya: "I wish I could just kiss him one last time."

I lean down gently planting a kiss on her lips. When we part she smiles.

Cattleya: "So he's with you. I'm glad. I just wish I could be with him."

I think over my choice. I then place my hand on her stomach. My hand catches fire but she isn't burned.

Cattleya: "What're you doing?"

Kane: "I'm offering you a second chance. But you must promise me. Promise me to change your ways."

Cattleya: "I swear upon my life. I shall not waste this chance you have given me."

I smile causing her to do the same. 

*timeskip presented by Cattleya being saved*

I groan hearing nothing but silence.

Kane: "Somebody please say something."

Hajime: "What were you thinking saving a demon?"

Cattleya becomes sad.

Kane: "Hey come on, she promised to change her ways."

Yue: "You sure you can trust her?"

Kane: "Yes. And I expect you all to trust me."

Though reluctant they all nod. Cattleya then wraps her arms around mine.

Cattleya: "It's been nearly eighty years since we felt each other. Whaddaya say we catch up on lost time?"

Myu: "Papa, what does that mean?"

Cattleya: "Papa?"

Myu: "Yeah. Kane is my Papa."

Cattleya: "I've always wanted a daughter!!!!"

Kane: "This' gonna be a long car ride."

Kaori: "No joke."
