Kane POV

I blast down the road with the help of some fire. Looking to my side I see Hajime and the other two riding a motorcycle.

Kane: "So how much further?"

Shea: "We should just about be there."

Hajime: "I hope so. Cause if we don't get there in the next minute I'm tossing you off."

Yue: "What's that?"

We look to see flying monsters buzzing over a forest.

Shea: "That's my village!!!"

I look closely to see a little rabbit girl getting picked up by the monster. My blood begins to boil.

Kane: "Fucking monsters!"

I increase my speed breaking the sound barrier. 

Kane: "Lightning shot."

I turn into a bolt of fire going through the heart of the monster holding the girl. It lets her go as I grab her and pull her close.

Kane: "Hold on tight."

She tightens her grip burying her face in my shirt. The others monsters roar heading for me. 

Kane: "Red dawn."

A pulse of fire expels frying the monsters to a crisp. We then fall out of the sky. Sticking my legs out I use them to take the full impact. While my legs scream in agony I look down at the girl.

Kane: "You're safe now."

She opens her eyes. Who I assume is her mother runs over pulling her into her arms.

Woman: "Thank you."

Kane: "No problem."

Shea: "Father, I'm home."

Kane: "Bout time you guys showed up."

They roll their eyes.

*timeskip presented by the heroes getting shown around the rabbitmen's home*

I sigh finally getting a chance to rest. After several hours of talking to the other beastmen we're finally allowed to stay here. I stretch out my body getting comfy.

Voice: "Excuse me."

I open my eyes to see that girl I saved.

Kane: "Yes?"

Girl: "I wanna give you this flower. Take it as thanks for saving me."

Kane: "Aww, thanks kid."

I happily take her flower. I then pat her head causing her rabbit ears to twitch. She walks away with a smile on her face. I turn to see the others with a smile on their face.

Kane: "What?"

Hajime: "That's the first time I ever saw you smile."

Yue: "Yeah. It's kinda sweet."

Shea: "I enjoyed it."

Kane: "Don't tell me you thought I was incapable of doing so."

They all advert their gaze.

Kane: "Screw all of you."

The next day we stand before Shea's family.

Shea: "We wish to get stronger."

Man: "I'm tired of feeling weak."

Man2: "Please, we beseech you."

Hajime sighs in annoyance when I place my hand on his shoulder.

Kane: "Allow me."

I walk past Hajime.

Kane: "So you all wish to get stronger, right?"

They all nod.

Kane: "I'll teach you."

They cheer when I smile darkly.

Kane: "But I'm gonna make it so you wanna die."

They all gulp in fear.

Kane: "First exercise, I want each of you to give me a two mile run. And I want them done in under fourteen minutes."

They all take off running. But I stop the little girl.

Kane: "Not you. You have no need to train."

Girl: "But I wanna get stronger."

Kane: "A kid shouldn't need to train. You should be out enjoying life."

She pouts when I get an idea.

Kane: "You know your family's gonna be awfully tired when they get done. Think you can make each of them a glass of water?"

Girl: *salutes* "You can count on me."

She takes off running. Meanwhile I smile. But I soon lose it when flashbacks of the past resurface. I clench my fists as my anger rises making steam be emitted.

Kane: "It won't change what happened."

I shake my head returning to the present.
