Spore Attack

Kane POV

After setting up a spot to rest and making a new gun from the scorpion armor, we all sit relaxing. 

Hajime: "I don't suppose you know where we are right now. Or at least a quick way to the surface."

Yue: "No, I don't. But legends say this labyrinth was built by one of the Mavericks."

Kane: "Who're those guys?"

Yue: "Old messengers for the gods. But they rebelled and turned against their masters."

Hajime: "They actually tried to put up a fight against gods?"

Yue: "In doing so they attempted to destroy our whole world. But their plans crumbled. After their failure the Mavericks fled to the safety of their labyrinths."

Hajime: "And you think we're currently sitting in one of them."

Yue: "It's said they're still lurking in the darkness. Hiding in the deepest depths of their new homes."

Hajime: "So that's what's waiting in the last ring of hell."

Yue: "If we go there we might find a way to the surface."

Kane: "Here's hoping."

Yue: "How is it you two came to be down here? How can you directly manipulate mana?"

She gets closer to Hajime and I.

Kane: "I've been down for years."

She then looks at Hajime.

Hajime: "I'll tell you on the way."

*timeskip presented by Hajime telling his story while Kane snoops through Hajime's bag*

We soon arrive at a place with lots of trees. Sitting down we rest.

Yue: "That's so sad. You've suffered just like me."

Hajime: "You shouldn't be sad. I don't give a crap about my classmates anymore. I don't even want revenge for what happened. All I care about is getting as strong as possible. I have to do all I can to survive so that I can find a way back home."

Yue: "Back home?"

Hajime: "Yeah. That's the plan. I mean sure a lot's changed about me. But getting back home is still my ultimate goal."

Yue: "Oh. I'd say the same. But I have no home now."

Hajime: "How about you come with me then? Back to my home I mean. It might be pretty boring. The world I come from doesn't have any magic in it. But we can figure something out. Whaddaya think? It's totally your choice."

She looks at me.

Yue: "Are you going back home?"

Kane: "I'm still undecided. I'm just tagging along for the adventure."

Yue: "I'm going with you."

We then hear heavy rumbling. Looking we see a large group of dinosaurs.

Kane: "You've gotta be joking."

Hajime: "I think we should run."

Yue: "Good idea."

*timeskip presented by Hajime, Yue and Kane running for their lives*

Hajime: "What gives? No matter how many we kill more just keep showing up."

Kane: "No joke. It's like they never ending."

Yue: "And what's with the flowers on their heads?"

Kane: "Also also, why was one stomping on the flowers?"

Hajime: "It's just a hunch but something tells me those flowers are like parasites."

Kane: "If that's the case then we better take out whatever's controlling them."

We jump into a hole in the ground. The dinosaurs go right past us making us sigh in relief. When they're gone we search for whatever's controlling the flowers. A few minutes later we find a small cave.

Kane: "Think we found it?"

Hajime: "Only one way to find out."

We enter the cave. We then come to a rather large open room. Hajime uses transmute to seal off the door.

Kane: "This' just like Snoopy's doghouse. Little on the outside, humongous on the inside."

Hajime: "They seemed desperate to keep us outta here."

Kane: "Meaning what we're after is likely in here."

We look around when what looks like green spores appear.

Kane: "This can't be good."

As if predicting the future an attack makes its way to me. I roll and become shocked at who the attacker is.

Kane: "You've gotta be fucking kidding me."

Hajime: "What gives Yue?"

Just then a flower woman appears. It wraps its arm around Yue as she raises her hand.

Yue: "I'm sorry guys. I can't control my body."

We then notice a flower on her head.

Kane: "Hajime take the shot!"

Hajime: "I might hit Yue!"

I grumble as the monster laughs. I think quickly putting together a plan.
