Kane POV

As we leave the farm we collect the intel to bring it back to HQ. It's there we find out it was completely worthless. Meaning that man and his daughter died for nothing. I grit my teeth. My commander needs to pay. Furious I march to the major. Reaching his tent I salute.

Major: "Private Morgan. At ease."

I lower my hand.

Major: "What is it that brings you here?"

Kane: "It's about what happened at the farm."

Major: "Go on."

Kane: "Commander Slade. He was outta line."

Major: "How so?"

Kane: "When we got to the farm Private Danny was shot dead."

Major: "I heard that. He was a good soldier."

Kane: "After I successfully got the upper hand on the killer I discovered he had a daughter. At that same moment Commander Slade and the rest of the platoon entered the barn. After some harshly exchanged words Commander Slade shot the father in cold blood. When I attempted to scold him he said he was the enemy. He then had me kill the daughter but I refused. When I did he used his hand to make me fire the gun. When I asked why he did that he simply replied with that war demands sacrifices."

He leans forward placing his hands on his desk.

Major: "Have you told anyone else this?"

Kane: "No sir."

Just then Slade enters the tent.

Slade: "Then you'll do wise to keep it that way."

Kane: "What?"

Slade stands next to Major Smith.

Kane: "Aw shit. That means you two are..."

Smith: "Slade's right. War demands sacrifices."

Slade: "So we ask you Kane. Which one do you wanna be?"

I clench my fists standing up.

Kane: "All sinners pay for what they've done in hell."

Slade: "Then looks like we're all hell bound."

I narrow my eyes marching out of Smith's tent.

*timeskip*

It's been over four years since the incident at the farm. Over the course of that time I've tried to forget it. But no matter how hard I tried it always kept haunting me. I then decided to follow Slade's advice of closing my heart. And that's just what I did.

Pretty soon it became easier to manage. I got so comfortable I kept killing. In the rare instances my heart got in the way I just kept telling myself that it was for the betterment of the country. Through this I racked up hundreds if not thousands of kills.

They ranged from Germans, Polish, French and sometimes my own brothers in arms. Because of my high kill count I gained the nickname of The Reaper. I currently stand on a boat. Looking around I see everyone displaying a wide variety of emotions. Most are of fear. I smile.

Kane: "Look alive ya pansies! This is the turning point. This' where we turn the tide against the Germans."

Driver: "Docking!"

The door opens as we're met with gunfire. I vault over the side of the boat landing in the water. Trudging through I reach the beach. Looking around there's nothing but bodies dropping. I brush past the carnage heading for the barbed wire barrier.

Kane: "Someone get a Bangalore!"

A random private sets it up.

Private: "Fire in the hole!!!"

I look away as the explosion goes off. Now unblocked we march up towards the bunkers overlooking the cliffs. Getting to the first one I grab a grenade.

Kane: "Knock knock."

I pill the pen tossing it through the crack in the door. A couple seconds later the whole place rattles as the explosion goes off.

Kane: "Alright let's get this thing cleared out!"

I kick open the door. But the second I do I'm presented with lots of Nazis holding submachine guns.

Kane: "Fall ba-"

Before I can even finish my sentence I'm lit up with bullets. When the last one is fired I fall onto the ground with blood gushing out. I can only listen as gunfire and screaming fills the bunker. My eyes roll up as the world goes dark. But I suddenly open my eyes seeing a rocky ceiling.

Kane: "What the?"

I sit up to find my body injury free. What the hell's going on? I should be dead. I then hear footsteps. Turning I spot a man with horns growing out the sides of his head.

Kane: "What in the name of God are you?"

Man: "God doesn't have anything to do with me."

Kane: "Where am I? Where'd Normandy go?"

Man: "I know nothing of this Normandy. But where you are is my home. And you're trespassing. Therefore you shall pay with your life."

Kane: "Kill me huh? Well you can try to."
