It was the busiest time of the year in Liyue. The harbor bustled with countless residents and visitors alike.
Merchants called out to potential customers from their shop stands, street musicians played upbeat songs and children danced around at their feet.
All was right with the world.
I took a deep breath of the fresh air that was laced with the sweet smell of flowers from the nearby flower shop, which seemed to be run by a small girl and her mother.
I smile and wave at the little girl sweetly, and she waves back with a smile just as welcoming. It took her a few moments, but when she recognized me, her eyes lit up like the sun.
Quickly, she scrambles around the assortment of flowers she was selling and grabs a few, her other hand shot up to gesture for me not to move.
She spikes my curiosity and of course, I honor her request. In fact I even slowly made my way over to the stand her and her mother had set up.
The little blue eyed girl practically climbs over the station to get to me. Once she gets here, she offers me a small bouquet of all different kinds of Liyue flowers - which were clutched tightly in between both of her hands.
I almost jump back in surprise from the sudden vibrant bunch of flowers being practically shoved into my face.
"You're that hero, right?!" She exclaims with a look in her eyes that screamed nothing but admiration.
Awkwardly, I laugh and rub the back of my neck. "Ah... hahah... I think you've got the wrong person..."
"No way! I saw you!" She shakes her head rapidly, "You looked like an Archon! You practically glowed!"
I decide it's probably best not to fight it, regardless of me not wanting to have a ton of unneeded attention. So, I crouch down and take the bouquet from her softly and smile, pressing a finger to my lips.
"Okay, maybe I am. But shhh, it's a secret." I wink with a quiet laugh, "I'm undercover right now, so try and keep it under wraps?"
The little girl's eyes widen, and she swiftly nods and gestures something sort of resembling a salute. "I won't tell a soul!" She whisper-screams, "...But thank you for saving my home."
