"I'm sorry, but I can't do this"I said to Taylin as we sat in my parked car. It'd been about a month since I left the hospital, I wouldn't say I was depressed but more so worn out. I had a newborn baby plus a bunch responsibilities, even though Taylin was around to help at times I still felt overwhelmed
"Yes you can Cleo, come on you have to"
"It's too soon"

I took a deep breath in, then out before climbing out of the passengers seat and to the back where I opened the door and beckoned down to unbuckle my baby from her car seat. I gently picked her up and laid her in my arms
"My baby so damn pale, could she have gotten some color before I did this?"
"You know how long it takes a baby to get some damn color?"
"Ughh"I whined

After shutting my car doors we made our way up to the front door of the house in which held all of my most darkest secrets and memories.
I dreaded to even be here right now but I knew it was the right thing to do. Nala deserved all of the love she could possibly get and that love included David. After all, he is her dad and every girl needs their daddy.
I lifted my arm and lightly knocked on the door, hoping that nobody heard me so I'd have a reason to leave. But to my surprise the door came swinging open, there stood a woman she looked to be about 40 and she had a glass of wine in her hand
"Uh.. who are you?"The woman asked

"No, he went to the store but he shouldve been back by now"

"This is the mother of David's newborn baby. Can we please come inside to wait for him to come back?"
