"Will you ever leave her?"Cleony asked me
I saw nothing but passion fueling in her eyes, this girl loved me and I loved her too but I feared that her attachment to me would turn vain due to my withholding.
I didn't want to hurt Cleony anymore and I knew that me being completely honest would although if I decided not to be truthful it would also destroy her. I loved this girl to pieces she's the mother of my only child and she had gone through so much with me there was no way I could let this girl go
"Well?"She questioned, awaiting my answer
"Come on Cee, we having a good day. Why you gotta bring that up right now?"

I lowly sighed, not wanting to show my frustration
"Cleony, please not right now. We can talk about this shit another day"I adjusted Nala in my lap, my child seemed to be growing so fast it's like time was flashing before my eyes she'd make 3 months tomorrow and she was already holding her head up. She was a happy, giggly baby. Always smiling or laughing at something us adults wouldn't find funny
And she was a daddy's girl already to the point where sometimes when Cee can't calm her all she has to do is play a video with my voice in it and she'd relax immediately. I loved Nala so much and weirdly it made me love her mom even more
"Alright, let's get started"The Claire's worker approached us making Cleony take her attention off of me
"What imma do first is draw a little small dot where I'll be piercing her ear"We watched the woman place a dot on each of Nala's earlobes
"Okay. Now if you would just gently hold her head still"The woman instructed, I softly grabbed Nala's chin and forced her to face Cleony as the woman positioned the piercing gun up to Nala's ear. Not even a second later she pressed a button and Nala let out a loud wail.
"Awww"Cee cooed, we both hated to see her cry
"Now for the other ear"With Nala still crying ballistically I slowly turned her head making her face the other way allowing the woman to pierce her other ear
"All done"The lady smiled
Instantly I stood up, placing Nala face in the nape of my neck
"It's okay, you look so pretty mama"Cee tried calming her down as I gently patted her back
"Grab her bag for me"I said to Cleony which she did.
It didn't take long for me to stop her crying, just a few "Shh"'s and pats on the back did the job.
After paying for Nala's piercing Cleony and I went next door to some Ramen noodle bar called Jinya. We both sat across from each other
