9 months later Nala's 1'st birthday
"Wait! Untie it that's too tight"I screeched as Taylin tightened my corset
"Girl it's supposed to be tight it wouldn't be a corset if it wasn't"Tay shouted back
I looked at my reflection in the mirror in front of us "Does my curls look like they fell to you?"
"No mama, they look fine. Nala! Come here crazy girl"Taylin scooped Nala's body in his arms
"She keeps messing up her ponytail"I grabbed a brush and proceeded to brush her loose curls back up into the ponytail on top of her head
"That's why I told you to just let her rock her Afro"Tay said
"Her hair is already wet if I take it out it's not gonna be an Afro. I'm just gonna fix the ponytail"I sat down in my vanity seat and grabbed Nala out of Tay's arms
I adjusted her in between my legs before removing the scrunchie holding her hair up. After repeatedly brushing her hair out I began to swoop it up into a new ponytail. This time I tied the bow even tighter so that her hair wouldn't slip
"Much better"I stood up with Nala on my hip
"Bitch I don't know if it's just me but I got bubble guts"
"Why?"I asked
"Cause... everybody's gonna be there. How are you not nervous?"Tay said
"Cause there's nothing to be nervous about"
For Nala's birthday I decided to throw a party, I invited my family and David's. I wasn't nervous because it wouldn't be my first time meeting these people but I could say I was a bit antsy about putting them all in the same room
"I'll be damned, and you know Lucas fine ass gon be there. He wants mee I don't know why he be playin"Tay joked, referring to David's brother
"That man don't be paying you no mind"
I took a minute to examine Nala's attire, she was dressed in a pink tutu dress with cute sandles to match. I made sure to put fresh diamond earrings in her ears and a very small diamond necklace around her neck
"Alright it's about to be two-thirty we gotta go"I said with Nala in one arm and my purse in the other
"I'm right behind you"Tay mumbled
I walked out of the house to my car, it didn't take long for me to buckle Nala in her car seat once I finished I made my way to the drivers seat, climbed in and buckled myself in.
"Want me to pull up the gps?"Tay asked, buckling up as well
"Yes please"
When he pulled up the address in the gps I started the car and drove clean out of the parking lot
