Chapter 10

Blaze POV

I am so sore its all I can do to walk to the dining hall. Where are one of my friends when I need a piggy back ride?

Sophie runs up beside me. "So did you beat Andrew? I can't believe how fast you can run."

"I don't know if I won or not. He was a sore loser and cheated at the end."

"You are so lucky! Andrew is one of the hottest guys here and he only has eyes for you."

"He is definitely one of the better looking guys here but he isn't interested in me."

Andrew only has eyes for me? I find that really hard to believe. Dauntless has some beautiful women here.

Lost in our own thoughts Sophie and I walk the rest of the way in silence.

Entering the dining hall and getting in line I notice Eric in front me.

"Hi Eric"

He turns around looking pissed off as usual. "What makes you think you can talk to me?"

I just smile sweetly at him and say "because you seem so approachable. Like a bed of nails."

"Careful sunshine."

Sunshine? Did he really just call me sunshine?

"Hello my lady" Zach stands beside me with a goofy smile on his face.

"Hello kind sir. How are you on this lovely day?"

"As best as can be expected while in this great pain of training." He says laughing. He has a great laugh.

"Zach you should laugh more. You have a great laugh."

"Our friends await my lady. Would you like me to escort thee to our table?"

"I can think of no one greater to escort me kind sir." besides Sophie and zach I can't think of anyone else that at this point I want to be my best friend for life. They both just make me happy to be around them.

Arriving at the inniates table I sit down between Zach and four with Sophie sitting across from us with another candor transfer and 2 erodites transfers.

"I am candor so I can speak the truth and honestly say you are a jerk." Sophie laughly tells one of the erodite transfers.

Four looks grumpy. "Quit talking about your old factions. You are Dauntless now."

Then I get the bright idea to start chanting Dauntless. Then my whole table joins in and then the whole dining room joins in.

As Eric walks in he looks at me standing up leading the chant. Wow! He actually looks at me like he is proud. I just smile at him. He winks at me! Eric winked at me!
