Chapter 27

Blaze POV

I struggle against the hands on me but they are too big and strong.

Then I hear his voice. "Don't worry blaze its just me."

He takes his hand off of my mouth.

"What are you doing trying to add kidnapping to list of ways you have hurt me?"

I can't help but notice how sad and pitiful he looks.

"I just wanted to apologize. It was a big mistake and I am so very sorry."

"How could you? You had me believe you cared about me and it was just a big joke to you." I am so furious right now. "How could you make me fall in love with you and just throw me out like yesterday's trash?" I should not have said that.

Eric just stands there with his mouth hanging open. Finally he closes it.

"You love me?"

"Eric I have been falling in love with you since day one. But don't worry you don't have to say anything I saw how you feel about me this morning."

"I got drunk. I don't know how that happened. What were you doing in the leaders hall anyway?"

"I knew you are were nervous about me waiting for you and I wanted to reassure you that I would wait. Plus I had decided to tell you my true feelings and let you know I loved you."

"Loved? Why did you say it in past tense? Do you not love me anymore?" he sounds like he was choking back tears.

"Past tense. I thought we were going to have this beautiful moment when I told you I loved you. I even considered making love to you but instead I got greeted by some skank saying how you had your dick in her mouth and how you begged her to yell your name. You promised to protect me and then you destroyed me."

"I am so sorry babe I don't know what came over me. I had drank like a dozen beers and had some shots of vodka. I was drunk. Please babe forgive me. Please be mine. I am so so very sorry. I need you to be mine. Please?"

I can see he is crying. I can't do it I can't forgive him. Not now maybe later but not now.

"No Eric. I can't." as I go to walk away he pins me against the wall and kiss me with such passion and desperation. My body responds before my mind can figure out what it is going on and I kiss him back.

As quickly as it starts my mind kicks in and I shove him off of me. I see fresh tears start down his face.

"You can't have love without trust and you destroyed the trust I had in you. You have nobody to blame but yourself."

"I will earn your trust back if it's the last thing I do. You will love me again."

As he says this I hope he is right. I still do love him but I can't be with him if I cant trust him.

"I really hope you are right."

I walk over and give him a gentle kiss on his lips.

"Goodbye Eric."

He looks like someone punched him in the gut.

I can't look back because if I do I know I will run into his arms. The sounds of his crying is killing me. I had never seen a man cry before and I never thought Eric would cry.

The dorm is busy with everybody getting ready to see their family or like me getting ready to go hang out and enjoy our day off.

I need to figure out what to wear to meet Dom. I am thinking I will wear a skin tight top that has spaghetti straps and a pair of tight fitting pair of pants. (see outfit pic up top)

I get dressed and start on my hair. I think I will leave it down. I start applying my makeup as Carter walks in.

"Hey Carter. Are you going to the social tomorrow night?"

"I thought about it but now that Zach and Sophie are a couple I don't want to feel like a third wheel."

"Why dont we go together then when we hang with Zach and Sophie we won't be third wheels."

Carter seems surprised. "I thought for sure somebody would have asked to be their date."

"They have but I would rather go with my friends. So what do you say?"

"I think it would be blast!"

"Let's got shopping after dinner tomorrow night. I want to find the tightest skimpiest outfit I can find."

"Going to drive the guys crazy?"

"Something like that."

As I walk to the pit to meet Dom I can feel myself get excited and nervous. I am not sure how I feel about Dom yet. He is so sweet, kind, gorgeous and funny.

Maybe I need to quit over thinking and just enjoy it. I just need to take it slow because I still love Eric and I don't trust myself when it comes to men.

As I found the corner to the pit I see Dom in a tight black shirt and black skinny jeans.

When he sees me his face lights up. Its so cute.

"Oh fuck B! You look so damn hot!"

"Thank you. You look handsome."

"We are the best looking couple in dauntless."

Did he just call us a couple? I am sure he is just teasing.

"So handsome what's the game plan?"

"Well I think we will start off by going to the dining hall for lunch. Then the rest of the day is a surprise."

He takes my hand and we walk to the dining hall.

We walk in holding hands.
