| AUTHOR'S POV |

It has been a few days since Ayansh last saw Inaaya at the library. He didn't visit the library since then, fearing that he might bump into her again. Everytime he went out, he just wished he doesn't come face to face with her.

Neha, Kabir and Dhruv are sitting in the living room alongwith Ayansh in his house playing cards. The butler comes and serves them snacks and juice. They sit on the couch and eat while chatting.

"So you met her at the library?" Kabir says excitedly.

"Yeah. I already told y'all." Ayansh said in a bored manner. He didn't only want to avoid Inaaya but also everything related to her and that also included the conversation regarding or surrounding her.

"And he also told us that he isn't chasing her anymore so stop pestering him." Neha warned her boyfriend, aware that it was futile.

"I thought that you really loved her. How can you give up so soon?" Kabir asked with a pinch of sarcasm in his tone.

Ayansh made a tsk sound. "And that's exactly why I don't want to force her. She told she isn't interested. We all clearly saw how offended she was. I don't want to hurt her more." He replied with conviction.

Dhruv decided to speak up. "When you two met in the library, she was nice to you. We can take that as a progress. You can try to become friends with her. Stop being so paranoid Ayansh." He reasoned out.

"I feel Dhruv is right." Rahul, Ayansh's brother who accidentally happened to hear their conversation said.

Ayansh stiffened.

Rahul came and took a place beside Ayansh on the couch, throwing an arm around his shoulder. Ayansh's friends shared tense glances amongst them. As far as they'd observed, Rahul wasn't the most friendliest of brother. If he saw Ayansh, he would spare a look at him or at the most ask how was his day and Ayansh would reply with 'fine' or 'good'. So Rahul doing anything other than that was surprising, baffling even.

"You know about Inaaya?" Neha asked.

"Ofcourse." Rahul said confidently. "I was the first one with whom he shared this."

"I didn't know you were this close to him." Neha blurted out and Dhruv and Kabir turned their faces and glared at her. "I- I didn't mean in that- "

"It's alright." Rahul shot her a reassuring smile. "What I was saying is Dhruv is right. Ayansh," he turned his head to face his brother, "you actually shouldn't give up. Maybe it's a sign. Maybe it's what the destiny wants."

Ayansh didn't say anything back. Instead, he just stared pleadingly.

"I oppose." Neha interrupted. "The way the girl had behaved, what she had said was terrible. Ayansh deserves way better than that."

"And the way she behaved in the library?" Dhruv cocked a brow. "You do realise that she was the same girl?"

"And?" Neha mimicked his expression. "That doesn't change anything. She didn't even have the courtesy to apologise."

"One second," Rahul intervened. "What happened at the library?" He looked at them and then Ayansh.

"Nothing. We were just arranging books." Ayansh said quickly.
