Three more years had passed, and in them, Daisy had reunited Delilah and Elliot with the rest of their family, their father, aunt and cousins, and their rather famous great uncle Scrooge. Delilah and Elliot were incredibly bewildered to find out there was an adventure side of the family that ran deep in it, and they were excited beyond belief to experience adventures! They especially loved adventuring with their cousins, finally more companions their age who they could relate to more easily. That seemed to make it even more worthwhile.

Elliot woke the next morning with slow eyes, and a full heart. Ever since he found he had more family, something he'd always wanted his mood had been up through the roof. His beak was always in a smile, he had become a cheerful and positive boy, ready to try new things. He loved this new him! He would always be dancing around the mansion and the houseboat, confusing his cousins a little, but Webby seemed to like it a lot. However, today was rather boring for Elliot. The Albrights were out doing things they needed to take care of, as was his Uncle Scrooge, and his cousins, and Webby was busy with her shenanigans. He boredly walked back out to the houseboat, seeing his sisters doing a few things together as well; he thought it best to stay out of the way, but in doing so, he felt a little down.

I'll dance! said the happier part of his mind. That'll make me feel better!

It was probably the best idea Elliot had all day, so he went to his room. He pulled up the music for the dance he had choreographed six years ago. He thought this might be fun to get back to, since it had been that long. He started the music, and went to the center of his room. Just as he did six years back, he started slow with his pliés, then his poses when the music hit its beats, his eyes closed as he entered the zone, then he did his chassés and his leaps, he saw the image of the stage in his mind, he felt like he was five again, competing for first place, and before he knew it, he was in his final pose at the end of the song. He opened his eyes, snapped back to reality. Then he heard light applause, and turned to see his sisters at his door.

"That was amazing!" his sister June exclaimed.

"I didn't know you could do that!" his sister May shouted excitedly.

Elliot blushed and smiled. "Aw, thanks guys."

"And I didn't know you could get any more amazing!" Delilah squealed.

Elliot, touched by his sister's comment, ran to her and squeezed her, making her giggle. He liked it whenever she giggled.

"Group hug!" May and June announced joining in.

The siblings shared a long hug, and Elliot definitely felt better.

Later that afternoon, as Elliot was browsing for songs to choreograph dances to, he overheard his parents in conversation. He wasn't sure whether or not they wanted him to hear, so he stealthily crept to his bedroom door, and sat on his knees. He put his ear against the door, and what he heard wasn't good.

"The boat's boiler is going out," Donald said sadly. "I don't know how much longer it'll last. This one could blow and the boat wouldn't be fit for a boiler anymore."

"Well — we can probably relight it," Daisy pointed out.

"It's no use," Donald sighed. "Even if we do, it'll go through that quicker than the last light. We need a longer lasting source of heat."

Daisy and Donald thought for a moment, then Daisy's pocket vibrated. She reached into it and pulled out her phone, finding the vibrating to be reminding her that it was time for her to go.

"Oh, I've gotta go to work," she said.

With that, she kissed Donald's cheek and walked out of the boat to her car at the front. Donald blushed bright red, and forgot about the boiler problem for a second. Then he went back to his room on the boat to put his thoughts back to it. Elliot pulled his ear away from the door, and sat with his back against it, thinking about how desperate this was.
