"Come on it's just a game"
"It's the worst game ever"
"Stop complaining now and let's just play"
"I said no!"

"Can you both stop fighting? Everyone except for Jay is playing, right?"
"No, Jay is playing too"
"Y/n, I said no"
"Come on it's just 'truth or dare' what are you afraid of?"

And I knew I had him when he raised an eyebrow and was going to say-
"I'm not afraid of anything, let's play this damn game."

Just Jay, his six friends, me and my two other friends Mina and Haewon playing truth or dare at our house.

You probably think it's normal not to like this game, but Jay, my overprotective twin, is more concerned about me playing this, believe me. It's not because he doesn't like it. Ever since our dad had less time for us because of his business in LA, Jay decided to take the position that our Dad had.

Whenever a Boy showed any simple sign of interest, my glaring brother would handle it. He would make sure that I wont ever date someone and rather die alone with a bunch of cats.

Heeseung, as the oldest, started to spin the bottle.

I was sitting between the girls, a little nervous if I'm being honest.

The bottle slowed down and landed on Haewon. I glanced at her, popping my eyes out and hearing Mina gasp. Here's the thing: Haewon, the coldest person from the outside but warmest on the inside, has a crush on Heeseung but won't admit it in 100 years. Everyone and I'm sure even Heeseung himself knows that.

"Truth or dare," Heeseung asked, locking eyes with her.
"Truth."
"Boooriinggg," Ni-ki exclaimed, getting hit by Sunoo.
"It's the first round, chill," Sunghoon said, anticipating a good question from Heeseung.

"I already know what to ask," Hee said grinning at Haewon. I could only hear her gulping out of nervousness.
"You do have a crush on me, right?"

gasps and loud clapping from the boys side, typically.
"How dare you ask something like that?" Mina exclaimed angrily
"It's okay Mina, it's just a game," Haewon said, taking me by surprise.
"No, I don't have a crush on you," she obviously lied.
"You do know that you have to tell the truth," Heeseung said lazily
"Yup. And that's the truth."
"It's not."
"It is."

As I said, never ever is she going to tell the truth.

"It's not fun like that!" Jake interrupted them, "let's just start again."

So we acted like nothing happened. Haewon spun the bottle and wouldn't look up, probably too embarrassed to link eyes with Heeseung again.
He on the other hand wouldn't take his eyes from her, kinda questioning if she actually is over him, but why would it concern him? He is the one most known heartbreaker at our school, he could have any girl if he wanted to.

back to the bottle which landed on Ni-ki.
"truth"
"BoRiNg" Jungwon imitated him when everyone started laughing.
"Hey, we restarted. I thought it was okay then!"

The bottle spun and spun and I was happy that it never landed on me, but four times on Sunghoon and three times on Jay already.

The question came from Sunghoon to Jay now.
"I will probably die after asking this but would you ever leave your sister alone so she can date and live her life?" he asked holding up his Pillow just to make sure he is safe if Jay is going to throw anything at him.
Everyone laughed, except for Jay. I saw Sunghoon behind the pillow mouthing me something like "I got you"

"No" was the only thing Jay said.
"What do you mean with 'No'?" I asked outraged.
"It means no. Not in 10 years, not in 100 years. I won't let anyone near you just to break your heart and leave you like a crybaby back"
"Okay but you have no right to forbid me to date someone!" I said in disbelief.
"I do" was the only thing he said when he spun the bottle again leaving me there speechless. I would have screamed at him and we would have discussed this topic like we always did, but I would rather do that alone than next to our friends.

Especially not next to him. That one friend of his I liked the most. That one friend that I have been dating for a while.
I know right, plot twist.

Everyone's eyes were on the bottle but not mine. Glancing up and seeing him sit there, smiling lightly at me and being my crush since forever. Yup, no other than Jake Sim.
He and my brother have been friends since elementary school and oh boy, if Jay would know about our little secret, he would kill us with his bare hands.

The bottle landed on Jake.
"Dare"

After thinking about a good dare Jay came up with "Call the one you have a crush on"
I gasped

Everyone started cheering and clapping again while Jake was just shaking his hands in defense and smiling at everyone. "What girl are you talking about?" he said nervously, glancing at me from time to time.
"Do you think we don't notice how you are on your phone all the time smiling and giggling like you're already dating," Jay said laughing loudly.
"Or are you actually dating?" Sunghoon asked.

"You guys maybe we should stop playing now it's gotten late," Mina said. Of course the girls know that im dating Jake and they know that they'll lose a friend when my brother finds out.

"LOOK WHAT I FOUND!" Ni-ki yelled, showing off Jake's phone. Everyone looked at the screen showing a number named with a simple heart.

I will kill Ni-ki before Jay kills me.

"Hey! why would you unlock my phone?", "It's your fault if you tell everyone your code," Sunoo cheered, wiggling his eyebrows.

Jake's attempts to get his phone failed miserably. throwing it to each other when it lastly landed on Jay and he out of nowhere clicked the call button which made everyone go silent. a ring resounded in the room and everyone looked around.

I took a deep breath. Now or never. Glancing at Jake, I took my phone out. My eyes wandered to Jay who was already looking at me in pure shock.

I accepted the call putting the phone on my ear.
"Hi."

My voice resounded from Jake's phone.

"Hi," Jay said, almost whispering.

"I guess it's time to go for us" Jungwon hesitated while pushing everyone else including Jake, after he got his phone back, out.

"are you alright Y/n?" Haewon asked me, implying that she could stay if I wanted to.
"Haewon." Heeseung called out giving her a look which probably meant 'lets go'.

everyone left.

"Were you going to tell me?" he questioned after a while.
"Yeah. someday."
"Someday?"
"obviously? You are so overprotective! If you wouldn't say such things like killing every boy who gets near me and stuff like that i would have told you earlier! You have no right to be angry with me!"
"I'm not angry. I wanted to become something or someone who protected you, who is always there for you. someone like Dad before he left and only visited us once a month."
"Dad never said stuff like that"
"It's because we were younger."

I understand that he always wanted to be like our father but I never understood that he wanted that because of me.

"I'm actually happy that it is Jake you're seeing." he said smiling at me lightly which I returned.
"and I'm happy that we actually talked about it now. I'm sorry for misunderstanding you."
"And I'm sorry for being so overprotective for no reason."

"Lets hug"
"No"

We started laughing. Yeah we never were that type of siblings who would hug each other, but we indeed loved each other and showed it differently, in our own way.

"Now tell me, how did Jake and you become a thing?"
"Oh god."
