Percy's P.O.V

Tears were running down my face. The only ones left standing was me, Annabeth, Frank, Zeus and my father, Poseidon and a few hundred monsters. Two giants were left, the bane of Poseidon and the bane of Zeus, wait, make that just the bane of Zeus. Gaia stood in the centre of the battlefield. The Battle had moved to the edge of a hundred metre cliff. Leo lay in a small heap, most of his bones crushed. A giant had swung its club and Leo pushed Nico out of the way. Instead of hitting Nico, it had hit Leo, killing him even before he hit the ground. Piper lay serenely on the ground, her body close to Jason's. Her neck snapped in an unnatural angle. Jason had a long spear in his chest. He had jumped in front of Piper, saving her life but ending his. She guarded his body until a giant came and finished her off. Reyna was at the edge of the battlefield, her face pale and her eyes closed. Her long dark hair was tucked in a braid. Her shoulder was covered in a bright purple substance. Poison. A demigod betrayed us and stabbed her in her shoulder. Clarrise had gone down fighting, taking down a giant with her. Grovers bloody body lay in a heap, his head a few meters away. Thalia could hardly be recognised. She was burnt all over, caught in a deadly Greek fire bomb. Nico had used too much of his powers. He exploded in a giant ball of shadows, taking out about a thousand monsters with him. Hazel had been thrown off Arion's back and attacked by a huge group of Hellhounds. Driven by loss, rage and anger, Frank became a ruthless killing machine, killing everything in his path. He was covered in a red aura. The blessing of Mars/Ares. I hacked through hoards of monsters, turning into a demon. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Frank finally go down. He had a spear in his shoulder and dozens of arrows littered his body. Three daggers were emplanted around his body. He had scratches and cuts all over his body. I felt a fresh wave of tears run down my face. I ran towards the last giant, Porphyrion. My dad was unconscious on the ground, which freaked me out a bit. If he could take out my father, I would be an easy kill. I slashed at his legs and then ducked as he swung his spear at me. I stabbed him behind his knee and he roared in anger. He kicked at me and I rolled away. My breath was knocked out of my chest and my chest ached. A few ribs are probably broken. I slowly got up and picked up Riptide. I ran back into the fight. Porphyrion swung his spear again but instead of ducking, I grabbed onto it. He brought his spear up, me dangling on the end. I jumped off and landed on his shoulder. I brought Riptide up and stabbed him in his neck. He roared in anger and threw me off. Zeus made the air thicken around me and I fell more slowly to the ground. It still hurt, don't get me wrong. He raised his master bolt to the sky, crackling with thunder, then threw it like a spear, hitting the giant exactly where I had stabbed him a few seconds earlier. Porphyrion exploded into, not gold dust, but mud. Then I turned to Gaia, who was cackling like a mad-man in the centre of the battle. I ran towards her, suddenly aware of a certain blonde right next to me. Annabeth had grime and muck all over her clothes and hair but to me, she had never looked so beautiful before. Her stormy eyes bright and angry, her Drakon bone sword killing monsters here and there. I finally got to Gaia, Annabeth by my side.

"Gaia!" I shouted. The fighting seemed to stop and everyone turned to watch us.

"Surrender now and we won't kill you!" I shouted. Gaia laughed maniacily.

"How about you surrender now and I won't kill your little girlfriend!" She replied. It was tempting but I couldn't betray my family.

"I'd rather rip out my heart!" I shouted and raised Riptide.

"How about I do it for you." She said and raised her earthen sword. Annabeth and I worked as a perfect team. We stood back to back, protecting each other. We could predict each others moves before we even made them. We fought Gaia together, but I knew that we were no match for her. Everytime we landed a hit on her, she would just use the earth to heal her.

Then my world stopped.

I heard a blood curdling scream come from behind me.

Annabeth...

I whirled around and what I saw made my heart stop. Annabeth had Gaia's sword through her chest. I brought up water from the ground and created a shield around us. Annabeth swayed for a moment before falling. I caught her before she hit the ground. I gently lowered her to the floor. I cradled her head in my arms.

"P-percy..." she murmured.

"I'm right here. I'm not leaving you. You're going to me okay." I whispered. She chuckled weakly.

"Don't w-worry... I'm going t-to see Luke and Silena and Beckendorf and Bianca again... I know I'm going to die." She whispered. I didn't even try to conceal my tears.

"No. Don't say that. You're going to make it. We're going to go to college and raise a family togethor." I said. "Please don't leave me. You're the only one I have left." I begged her. She smiled weakly and put a hand on my cheek.

"I love you Seaweed Brain." She whispered.

"I love you too my Wise Girl." I whispered. She smiled and then took a shuddering breath and closed her eyes. I held her limp body for who knowshow long. Because my one true love was dead.

Zeus' P.O.V

I saw the water shield that surrounded Perseus and Annabeth collapse. In Percy's arms lay Annabeth. Her body limp and pale. A sword lay in her chest. I felt deep sorrow in my heart. Not only for my daughter and son, but for the last of the prophecy of seven. Percy slowly stood up, his eyes blazing with rage. He pulled up his lips in an animalistic snarl and hefted Riptide. I could see him shaking with anger.

"Gaia." He said coldly. A shiver ran down my spine. He didn't shout or scream, but that seemed worse. I kind of wanted him to shout and scream, instead of the quiet rage he was sending out. Gaia looked worried for a moment before resuming a smug expression.

"You will pay." He said it with so much venom that the gods that were still awake flinched. Then he ran at her. Suddenly he was a green blur. He was so fast that no one could even see him. The fight between Gaia and Percy ended quickly. Gaia gazed at Percy with big eyes, mouth flopping open and closed like a fish. Riptide was in her heart. Suddenly he was covered in dirt. He glanced at us then pushed his sword into the ground. I looked confusedly at Percy. Suddenly a loud boom filled the air and the ground around him cracked and shifted. I suddenly realised what he was doing. I, along with the other gods shouted out for him to stop. He gave us a sad look and then the cliff crumbled, taking Percy with it.
