Merlin stands next to Gaius in the crowd. Uther gives the signal and the mêlée ensues. Gwaine is injured by a Stalorne blade. Ebor(Ethan) rides toward Arthur.

Merlins eyes widen when when sees what was happening "He's heading straight for Arthur." He says to Gaius, on the other side of the stands is Lance thinking the same thing.

Arthur ducks. Ebor (Ethan) is thrown from his horse. Gwaine is knocked off his horse. Ebor (Ethan) goes for Arthur on foot..

"Arthur's in trouble." Mutters Merlin eyes wide...

Third person pov...

Lances' eyes widen as he watches "Dad's in trouble!" He exclaims pushing himself away from the tent and grabs his sword forgetting about his helmet he needs to help his Dad.

Ebor (Ethan) jumps and pulls Arthur off his horse, then tries to stab him. Arthur rolls out of the way. Arthur fights with Ebor (Ethan). Dagr (Oswald) rides toward them to attack Arthur.

Lance then jumps in protecting Arthur from behind, he face Sir Oswald head on he glares at the man before he got knocked of his horse by something 'Papa magic' thought Lance as he and Oswald squared up.

"It's two against two" mutters Merlin, now it was a fair fight, Everyone watches as the two Princes fingers one of the Knights.

Gwaine gets up and joins Lance as the boy was still tired from his fight. "Who is that helping them?" Asks Merlin confused as another person joined in.

"I don't know, but I think we should be thankful he is." Came Gaius as he watched on. Gwaine disarms Dagr (Oswlad) and catches the Stalorne blade.

"There's only one person I know who can do that." Said Merlin, Lances' eyes widen as he saw who was helping him, he grinned now this guy was really going down.

Gwaine stabs Oslwad, the crowd gasps. Ethan knocks Arthur down and goes for the kill. Lance then comes up behind and stabs him with the Stalorne blade, the crowd gasps. Arthur, Lance and Gwaine get up and face each other.

"They'll expect us to fight to the end now." Said the Prince to rhe other two. Lance just shrugs his shoulders he was ready for a fight with his Uncle and Dad.

Arthur removes his helmet and the crowd cheers, Lance looked around him and waves at everyone making them cheer he grins people seem to like him.

"You fought bravely both of you, The field is yours." Said Arthur to the two, Lance's eye widen as Gwaine sticks his sword in the ground and lifts his visor. Arthur smiles and shakes head.

"I knew it" Exclaimed Lance making Gwaine smile at the boy. The man ruffles the boys hair making Lance glare at his Uncle.

Gwaine turns toward the King's box, surprising Gwen and Uther.

"Guards! Seize him!" Yells Uther.

Gaurd grab Gwaine and restrain him and take him away as Lance vision gets all blurry and before he knows it he collapses from exhaustion, as he collapses Merlin runs toward him holding his head in his lap.

Merlin wipes away the dust on the young boys face very proud of him. "Papa" mumbles the boy nuzzling his face into Merlins leg, his words making Merlin freeze.

'Papa' he thought.

He thought back to the times Lance messed up, why was he calling him Papa though, Merlin was confused. Just who was this boy?

Arthur walked over to the two a grin on his face. "See Merlin I told you he fights well" he said punching merlins shoulder before walking off to the tents.
