CHAPTER 2: HIMITSU

A/N. Welp i wrote this while drunk after watching Uki's Drunk stream! You all gonna hate me for this but Enjoy!

"This can't be happening! Please tell me that this is just a joke" Sonny begged as the doctor shook his head.

"I apologized but that is the truth. From over fatigue, weak muscles, immobilized and the cardiac arrest, it all leads to the disease" The doctor said as both Shu and Sonny stared at him with pain in their eyes.

"We also checked the family history since the disease is genetic and it confirms that Uki's father died of the same disease in his early twenties" The doctor added, completely telling then the harsh situation that Uki is in.

"Is there anyway to cure it?" Shu asks as the doctor shook his head.

"There is no cure for the disease, what we can do is to lessen the pain and do therapy to increase his time but eventually the patient will still start to slowly feel himself paralyzed from his toes to his brain and by then it will be a hard journey" The doctor explained.

"What you mean is that all we can do is watch as our precious friend suffers and slowly dies in front of our eyes?!" Sonny exclaimed feeling a sudden rush of anger as Shu looks at him and agreed.

"You said we can extend his time, what should we do?" Shu asked as the doctor nodded and look at them.

"Just a few things to avoid in order to slow the progress of the disease. No smoking and drinking, as of right now he can't afford to injure his chest and lungs or else we'll have the same exact scenario earlier" The doctor said as both of them nodded in understanding.

"Wait- does that mean he also can't sing?" Shu asks worriedly knowing that Uki had an upcoming karaoke stream soon, Uki would be devastated if he had to cancel his plans, he was excited for the karaoke stream.

"Any activity that will involve his breathing would have to be avoided. The muscles won't be able to handle the lack of oxygen, not only that it will affect the blood flow from the heart to every cell on his body, we cannot risk it or else his body will go into shock and paralysis."

Shu felt every part of his body stop functioning, the news is so heavy that he is afraid of the outcome. He can only imagine what would everyone feel when they know the news and if he was having a hard time accepting this then he can't imagine the pain of others, all he knows is that it'll be unbearable.

Stirring noises and intercoms can be heard as two silhouettes sat at the corner of the hall, a tense atmosphere surrounds them and both looking for a moment to think. Both of them can't make a decision, the lack of options leave them helpless and deep inside them they resent their incompetent knowledge.

Shu is the first one to snap out of trance while Sonny stared at the ceiling in deep thought. He stared at Sonny in suspicion, he wondered why Sonny hesitates to tell the news but Shu shrugged his doubt away believing that Sonny just didn't know how to say the news.

"What should we do? Should we tell them?" Shu asks clearly pointing out to whole NOCTYX.

"I wouldn't mind telling but it's Fuu-chan I'm worried" Sonny said finally gotten out of his trance.

"Of all people, why them?" Shu murmurs in distress, he can't help feeling remorse and helpless at the thought of his two friends suffering from the situation.

Sonny remained silent, knowing that no matter what he says it won't change anything, for even he can feel the pain for his two friends and with a clenched hand, Sonny stood up and went inside Uki's room leaving Shu trying to calm himself.

Sonny closed the door behind him and once his eyes caught a glimpse of a sleeping Uki, his breath hitched. He took a step, slowly and carefully, he made his way besides Uki. He grabbed a chair and dragged it near Uki's bed, he look back at the door and gently took Uki's hand on his, he sweetly gave it a kiss, rubbing the back of Uki's hand in his face softly.

"Uki... I'll do anything, just please get better.." Sonny mumbled as he caress Uki's face gently with his hands, gently leaving little kisses on his hand.

For Sonny, Uki is all he had left in life, he was his savior, his life and his purpose. His love for Uki made him a selfless guy, he never asks for anything that wasn't his, even if it means watching Uki fall in love with someone that is not him, he was contented and happy as long as Uki is happy.

But now, he didn't care anymore. It doesn't matter who Uki loves, it doesn't matter if things don't go the way they planned. Sonny felt his tears run down his face, his body shaking to sobs as he imagines life without Uki. He didn't cry when Uki dated Fulgur, he didn't cry when Uki rejected him but now he is crying because he is losing the only light he have.

"God, I begged you. I don't care if you take everything from me, I don't care if I lose everything I have in this life just please.. I'm begging you please... do not take Uki away from me.. from us..." Sonny begged and prayed as his tears fell on Uki's hand. He cried and cried not aware of the person watching him.

Behind the slightly opened door, Shu gasped and hold his mouth to stop the sound from coming out. The scene in front of him is something he never imagine that he will see in his life, it never crossed his mind.

Shu believed that Sonny was lenient and kind to Uki because that was his nature, Uki was special to everyone in Noctyx. But after this, Shu didn't know what to do, both Sonny and Fulgur are his friends, he knew Sonny's feelings are wrong but who is he to say that when he himself is in love with someone who is in love with someone else.

Hesitantly, Shu opened the door startling Sonny who immediately brushed his tears away, trying to act like he didn't cry at all.

"Oh, Shu. Uki is still asleep" Sonny said as Shu nodded but kept his eyes on Sonny.

"Sonny, Let's talk"
