CHAPTER 12: RESCUE II

A/N. I know i said I won't be updating this book until next week or so but i have this draft for like two weeks already and it keeps getting my attention, so i am posting this now.

"This is sick" Luca said as the four of them passed by a few tanks with childrens inside, Uki had been checking them one by one to see if they were still breathing, which thankfully is a relief that they are.

"They've been experimenting on them, to see if they'll get the result they want" Uki mumbles as he looks down sadly at the one tank, he puts his hand on the glass as if wishing to touch the child that is floating lifeless.

"Is that.." Shu starts as he stares at where Uki is looking. Uki can only nod his head to confirm his question.

"What is it they seek?" Sonny asks as he looks at Uki for answers.

"I don't know, i ran away before the truth was revealed" Uki answered as he turned around and walked away following Luca who was ahead from the three of them.

"Whatever it is, the powers that I'm sensing seem familiar yet also not" Shu said as he felt some tingles in his body.

"I agree, although most of my powers are blocked by the poison, my senses are still working" Uki said as he and Shu looked ahead.

"Luca?" Shu asks as he watches Luca run hurriedly inside a certain area and two voices screaming.

"AHHHHH!" Uki and Shu look at each alarmed as they hear two familiar screams echoing before hurriedly following where the voices are as Sonny followed them preparing the gun in his hand.

"Y-Yugo?" Mysta asks as he stares in horror and disbelief at the person standing in front of him, pointing a weapon that could possibly end him.

"Yugo don't!" Alban shouted as he tried to lunge at Yugo who quickly reacted and avoided his attacks. Alban ended up face planting on the floor as Mysta immediately helped him up.

Click!

They both froze again as they heard a gun click and pointed at them. The Yugo Asuma in front of them is not the same person they knew, the cold gaze and his expressionless face made their blood run cold.

"Don't stop us" Yugo said monotonously as Mysta and Alban looked at her confused.

"Us? What do you-" Alban started but stopped when a certain someone appeared and pushed Yugo out of their sight.

"AHHHHH!" They both shouted in surprise as Yugo slump on the ground after hitting his head on the metal bar on the side.

Footsteps can be heard getting near and they saw Shu and Uki arriving looking worried while Sonny immediately went towards Luca, stopping him from beating Yugo up.

"Luca? What happened?" Shu asks as he looks around and his heart sank when he saw Ike on the floor.

Turning in the corner, Uki found Sonny holding Luca by the arms who is harshly glaring at Yugo while holding a gun, pointing it to Yugo.

"Ike! Hang on!" Mysta cried out as Shu looked at them. He immediately rushed to their aid, he was torn between saving them and stopping Luca but he is trusting Sonny to stop Luca from doing something he might regret.
