Award shows are nothing new for TWICE, they've been to more than they can count. But this time when Jeongyeon was on stage with everyone, she couldn't help but feel especially anxious with everyone's eyes on her. She swallowed the lump in her throat and tried to relax, but her vision was shaky and she was having trouble breathing. Her throat was tight, her eyes unfocused, and she started to panic until a hand slipped into her own. She knew exactly who it was when she smelled the floral scent and heard the soft voice in her ear. "It's okay, Jeong. It's almost over. I've got you." She gripped Nayeon's hand and stepped slightly closer to her. "Thank you." Nayeon just squeezed her hand once. They awaited the announcement of the winner and after the show was over, Jeongyeon was first off the stage. Nayeon followed closely behind to make sure no one got too close or overwhelmed her. They mingled for only a little while before getting their things and going home. Nayeon sat next to Jeongyeon in the van and didn't let go of her hand once. When they got back to the dorm and were inside, Nayeon and Jeongyeon went to the room they shared. "How are you feeling, Jeong?" Jeongyeon sat on her bed and slipped off her heels. "Better now that we're home." Nayeon smiled and walked over to her closet.
Nayeon slipped out of her performance outfit and into some comfy clothes. "I'm gonna get a snack, want anything?" Jeongyeon knew it was just a cover, Nayeon knew she was still getting comfortable getting changed in front of the girls again. "Just some water please." Nayeon smiled and slipped out the door. Jeongyeon changed into shorts and one of Nayeon's big t-shirts. Meanwhile, Nayeon was in the kitchen, deciding what to eat. Sana joined her in the kitchen. "What's on your mind, unnie?" Nayeon sighed. Sana guessed. "Is it about Jeongyeon?" Nayeon nodded. "It's getting hard to pretend like I'm not losing my mind over her." Sana pouted and rubbed her back comfortingly.
"I can't get her off my mind, her voice, the way she smells, her gorgeous body." Sana raised her brows in amusement. "Okay, horndog." Nayeon chuckled. "It's not my fault she looks so damn good. I know she isn't happy with herself but I love her no matter what she looks like. I won't complain that she's one of the finest people I've ever met." Sana smiled at Nayeon. "You love her?" Nayeon furrowed her brows. She felt the breath leave her lungs and butterflies take their place. The weight on her chest lifted and she smiled. "I- I think I do. I don't know what I'd do without her." It was true, the thought of life without Jeongyeon felt impossible to her. "She's... she's my everything." Nayeon gave up on finding a snack and grabbed a glass of water for Jeongyeon. "Well, goodnight, unnie. Dibs on being your maid of honor!" Nayeon playfully rolled her eyes and left the kitchen.
She walked into her room and set Jeongyeon's water down on her bedside table. She closed the door and looked up at Jeongyeon. The younger woman was fast asleep, curled up in Nayeon's shirt and holding a stuffed bunny Nayeon bought her for her birthday. Nayeon felt butterflies in her chest, a warm feeling washing over her. The feeling was followed by a hollow pain in her chest, for all she wanted was to get in bed and fall asleep with Jeongyeon in her arms. She quietly sighed, turned out the light, and climbed into her bed. As she closed her eyes to sleep, she hoped to work up the courage to tell her soon.

Nayeon woke up to the feeling of someone slipping into bed behind her. She naturally turned over and wrapped her arms around Jeongyeon as she's done countless times before. It started just a year or so into the time they lived together, Jeongyeon wasn't able to sleep so Nayeon offered to stay up with her in her bed. Jeongyeon didn't last fifteen minutes before she was out cold. Since then she would join Nayeon when she couldn't sleep. Nayeon lay and held her roommate close, knowing it was what she needed. She relished a little in how she was the only one who held her like this, how she was the one Joengyeon went to for help, and how she was the first choice. She also melted at how Jeongyeon clutched the front of her shirt as she lay there.
"Nayeon?" She hummed in acknowledgment. She heard Jeongyeon sigh and cuddle closer to her. "Just wanted to hear your voice." Nayeon felt her face flush. She ran her fingers through the younger's hair and thought of something to say, anything to keep this moment going and Jeongyeon satisfied. "Does my voice help you sleep?" Jeongyeon mumbled something into her shirt. "What was that?" Jeongyeon leaned back just a little. "It makes me calm, it's very soothing." Nayeon smiled and kissed the top of Jeongyeon's head. "I'll talk forever if you ask me to." Jeongyeon chuckled. "So cheesy, unnie. Go to bed." Nayeon fake sighed and got comfy again before closing her eyes.
"Sleep well, Jeongie. Sweet dreams."
