I climbed in the car more nervous and excited than I thought was possible. I probably had more stuff than I needed but I still carried the majority of my stuff considering I chose a cute backpack rather than a practical one. I had my bus card in my hand gripping it so tightly my knuckles turned white. We drove a few blocks until we finally came to a stop at the corner of Timbercreek and Ericson. Soon enough, the big, yellow bus came and I had to take a deap breath and get out of the car, suddenly pleading Ms Carmen not to make me go. She playfully shoved me out of the car and as I was walking toward one if the most intimidating vehicles I'd ever seen, I heard her say something I hadn't heard from anyone, except my grandma, in a long time: "I love you darling."
