Bonnie is comfortable in bed for the first time in a while, happily sleeping, when a persistent banging at her door wakes her. She scowls, sitting up slowly. It doesn't stop. She huffs and carefully stands, only in one of Dacs oversized tshirts, headed to the door. She opens it tiredly to find Derek, all dressed in a fancy suit.
"She... she ended it." He says slowly.
Bonnie lifts her tired head from where she rested it on the door. "Like... really?" Her jaw drops as Derek nods. "She ended it?" She heads to the couch as Derek closes the door and follows.
"Cristina called the wedding off... she got up front and said 'it's over, it's so over' before she looked at me and left." He flops on the couch, pulling his tie off and undoing a few shirt buttons. He leans his head back. "She left me."
Bonnie rubs his arm as she hugs herself. "I'm sorry... thats not a fair way to do it either. What caused it?" She frowns.
"She was pushing me out. And... I couldn't face it. She's the one but I felt like she couldn't see that. So I told her, I said if she couldn't see a future then she needed to end it and....she did." He sighs and rubs his eyes.
Bonnie reaches over under the coffee table and grabs the bottle of whiskey. "Bottoms up."
Derek glances at it before flicking the cap off and downing some. He wipes his mouth on his sleeve and sits up. "How's your wound?"
Bonnie pulls the tshirt up a little to show the very pink, 3 inch long inclusion scar on her side, only 3 weeks into healing; the same side on her back has a smaller, rounder scar where the bullet entered. "No longer got stitches. I can go back to work next week hopefully."
"Cheers to that then, drink with me." He hands her the bottle and pulls his jacket off.
"You bad influence." She tuts as she downs some, wiping her mouth. "Do you need to cry?"
Derek laughs and rolls his eyes. "No. I need to drink and hang out with my friend."
"Mark will sulk if he's-"
"Yo." Mark calls as he let's himself in. "I got extra." He sets some beers and a bottle of rum on the table.
"I called him on my way up." Derek explains as Mark strips himself of his tie and blazer like Derek did.
"No no, it's fine, please strip. I haven't gotten laid in almost a month, I need it." She rolls her eyes.
Mark smirks. "I can help." He winks.
"Then I win the bet." She shrugs.
Derek raises an eyebrow. "Hey hey, what bet!"
"I said we'd end up in bed together by the end of the month. Mark reckons 2." Bonnie cracks a beer.
"Oh I am in on this, what's it been so far?" He smirks.
Bonnie smiles, glad he's distracted. Mark sips his beer. "3 weeks."
