Buckys pov
I walk up to the door and knock. She comes her bloodshot eyes widening "Bucky" I tell her walking in "I got your note. Would've rather you have said goodbye to my face though. And yknow an explanation as well" she asks "how did you find me? Did anyone follow you?" "No. And tony told me where you were said you really need someone now more than ever. I was looking for you and was gonna search everywhere until I found you anyway" I tell her. She's been crying again.

I wipe the tears off her cheek "what happened? What made you run? What made you leave me with just a note saying 'by the time you read this I'll already be gone I'm sorry, thank you for everything?' Did I do something wrong?" She shakes her head "you didn't do anything wrong bucky. Me leaving isn't your fault" she's all I had left. Steve refuses to talk to me after me being a good person and against his actions.

Sam is with his family, Wanda is always with vision, Natasha is up Steve's ass like toilet paper, tony is always in the lab with Bruce, Clint is with his family....point is everyone has someone. Not me. I ask "then why did you leave me" she hugs me tightly and I wrap my arms around her having missed her even though it hasn't even been a day.

She sighs "I had to leave Bucky. I couldn't take seeing them anymore and I just...I had to go" bringing us to the couch now and I ask "why did you feel like you had to leave without me?" She sighs "Bucky I'm...I'm having a baby" holy shit. She continues "Steve always told me he never wanted children. Not only that but...even if he did....with what he's done...he doesn't deserve to be a father to my baby after he hurt me so much. My baby deserves better. I don't want to be tied to him and have to see them for the rest of my life"

My heart aches for her. She used to talk a lot about wanting to be a mother. Even though Steve doesn't want children, which is surprising considering how good he is with kids. I take her hand "you don't have to do this alone Josie. You may feel like you're alone but you're not" she shakes her head "I can't ask that of you."

I tell her "Steve doesn't deserve the baby but the baby deserves a full and true family. A father. A mother, it's grandfather and aunts and uncles that will love him or her unconditionally. I...I don't know the first thing about kids or taking care of them but I'm willing to try to be what that baby and you deserve. I don't care if it's not mine and you think it's not my responsibility....I'm here with you in every way. I said that I'd do anything for you before and I meant it. Let me do this"

My eyes on hers to show her how serious I am. She tells me "being a father is a big task Bucky. I can't ask you to father a child that isn't yours..." I reply "people love kids that aren't theirs all the time. People adopt and even things like this tend to happen. I want to do this and be by your side for this Josie. I'll have you know I'm great with kids" she chuckles "sams nephews do seem to love you" I nod and say "well?" She nods "thank you" I hug her "there's no need to thank me doll"
