Apprentice Pt 2

A/N: Season finale is here, I hope is aight. Also trigger warnin': contains levels of abuse and painful flashback.

I blasted my way through the doors and made my way to my target and snapped my fingers to make my finger a blow torch and burn a hole in the canister. I grabbed the my target and the alarm instantly blares through the buildin'.

"She's got the Thermal Blaster!" One of the guards shout as more begin to chase me.

"Stop her!" I jumped up the shaft and out of the guards sight. "Where'd she go?" The guard asked. I tilted my hand to bloodbend the guards to knock them out.

I made my way to the roof, now is instantly surrounded by my old teammates.

"Freeze!" I heard Cyborg shout. I did the opposite and run. The other Titans followed, unaware of who they up against. I glanced to see Robin throws smoke bombs to stop my escape.

I stopped at the end of the bridge, still hidden in the darkness. Soon the moon's light falls on me and the Titans gasp in shock.

"That's not Slade," Beast Boy says. "Thats..."

"...Kalea," Cyborg finished.

"No." Starfire stares in shock.

"No way!" Beast Boy simply stares.

"Kalea, why are you-? I cut off Robin by gettin' in a fightin' position with flames comsumin' my fists, and blasted the masked teen, they all moved away.

"Yo!" Cyborg exclaimed.

"What is your deal?" Beast Boy asked.

"Not a word, Kalea." I heard Slade through the ear piece. "They're not your friends anymore."

"What are you doing?" Cyborg questions as the team moved a bit closer.

I threw a smoke bomb and disappeared in the shadows and made my escape.

I entered the room that Slade was in. I tossed him the Thermal Blaster. "Excellent, Kalea. I'm pleased. You're already proving to be the perfect apprentice."

"This deal ain't gonna last foreva." I replied.

"It can and it will." Slade turns on a screen behind me and I turned around to look. It shows a series of clips of the Titans with the Chronoton Detonator.

"The Titans still have no idea that my Chronoton Detonator was more of a decoy. Now that my probes are inside their bodies, they could remain undetected for years, decades." Slade steps up to me. "Unless, of course, you disobey me and I decide to destroy your former friends with a push of a button."

"One day, ya gonna let ya guard down." I say lookin' him in the eyes not backin' down. "And when that day comes, I will get that controller, and the second they're out of danger, you will pay."

"That sounds like a threat, little girl." Slade says as he takes a look at the blaster. "Quite a good threat actually. Betrayal, destruction, revenge. We really do think a like." I was 'bout to charge at Slade and before I had my fist at his back, he turned and grabbed it. "But there is one problem with your little plan."

"I monitored your vital signs during the mission." He informs me. "Elevated heart rate, adrenaline, endorphins. You won't admit, but at some level, you enjoyed stealing for me. It was a thrill, wasn't it?" I grit teeth and breathed out fire, only for his fireproof gloves to grip my mouth shut.

"You're going to keep stealing, Kalea. And you're going to keep that thrill. And sooner or later, you will see things my way." He placed the Thermal blaster on my right forearm. "Who knows? We might get that bond we once shared years ago."
