Bashful Emily

Chapter 34:

RECAP

"Come on Emily. Wake up please!" I muttered to myself and I checked her pulse again.

Suddenly I felt a beat on my fingers. A heart beat, a pulse! Relief took over me and I sighted.

"she's okay" I said and turned around. I was Alex, Robert and Liam, but not Ryder. Where is he? he was just here a second ago.

Where is he?

"Where is Ryder?" I asked them. Alex looked behind him.

"I don't know. I'll go see if I can find him."

"Okay. We will take Emily to the hospital." I told him.

I looked at Robert and he spoke up. "Wait how are you gonna get home if you don't have the car?" He asked Alex.

"We will figure something out" Alex answered.

"And what about him?" Liam asked and pointed at Luke who was still laying on the ground.

I stood up and walked towards Luke. I grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him up. "Listen to me. If I ever see you ever again I swear I will beat you up and kill you!" I spat in his face and he nodded. Luke looked terrified. I then punched him knocked out. That will teach him.

Alex's POV

I stepped out of the room  and went outside.

I looked around to see if I can see Ryder,  but i didn't see anything.

"Ryder!" I shouted hoping he would reply but I heard nothing.

"Ryder!" I tried again while walking around the cabin to see if I could see him. Nothing.

I then walked into the woods and tried to look for him screaming his name every now and then.

After about a half an hour of looking for Ryder I finally spotted him sitting on a huge rock in the middle of the woods. His back was facing me. I slowly made my way towards him.

"Ryder? Where have you been? Why did you leave?" I asked getting closer to him. He didn't answer. He just sat there with his knees pulled to his chest.

When i was right in front of the big rock I stepped on it and started to climb up to where Ryder was sitting. I took a step and almost fell off.

Clumsy me.

I climbed carefully this time. When i got to the top Ryder still didn't move an inch. He didn't even look back to acknowledge me.

I went and sat next to him, but he didn't budge.

"Hey man." I said softly. "What's wrong?"

When i looked at him I saw tears in his eyes. I started to have a mini panic attack. Ryder never cried in front of me before. I don't know how to handle these kinds of situations.

I gave him a slight bump with my shoulder. "Are you gonna tell me what's wrong or are you gonna sit there looking like a crying baby?" I said. Ryder turned to face me with an irritated face.

See i can't deal with these situations

Ryder looked down to his knees again and a tear rolled down his cheek.

After a few seconds Ryder spoke up.

"You know when I told you I liked Emily.." I thought back and nodded.

"Well after the fight was over and Emily laying there and Dannon running to her and holding her in his arms. That was supposed to be me. When we watched that video on the tv i realized that i might like her more than i think. Seeing Dannon crying over her like his world was shatted to pieces I realized that he really loves her. I thought so for a long time but after today I am certain that he is in love with her. I was so mad i just had to get out of there."
