Chapter 17: ANSWERS

I woke up with the sun shining through my curtains. I rolled out of bed and got dressed. I ran downstairs and ate my breakfast.

It was Wednesday and I absolutely hate Wednesdays! and Ryder has been ignoring me the whole week and I don't know why?

When I got to school I saw Kylie talking to Alex. Why would she be talking to Alex?

Then it hit me... That day in the bus where they made a connection, Awww that's so sweet, I have to ask what they were talking about later today. I decided to leave those two love birds alone and walked to my locker.

Suddenly I bumped into someone. I could feel the person tensing up when I bumped into him. "Sorry" I said and just walked past not even looking up at who it was. When I got to my locker I took my books out for the first 3 periods.

When I was done I closed my locker and looked in the hallways. There were so many couples in the hallway and I didn't even notice! Wow I need to look around more. Then I saw Dannon with his friends. When he spotted me he said bye to his friends and jogged over to me.

"Hey Ems!" He said cheerfully. "Hey Dannon, why so exited?" I asked. "It's athletics today,do t you remember?"

"O my Gosh! I forgot that we had athletics today!" How could I forget! It's almost the most important thing to me!

"Don't worry, luckily I reminded you" Dannon said and winked. "Stating the obvious much" I said jokingly. "Hey if it wasn't for me you would have been at home while we do athletics" Dannon said proud.

"Jah jah" I said and waved him off. Then I saw Kylie walking, no more like running to me with a big smile on her face. "Hi" I greeted her friendly and pulled her into a hug.

"Hey Ems!!!" She chirped. Okay either she really likes Alex or she got a car, which I know she didn't get.

"See ya later Dannon" me and Kylie said and walked down the hallway. "Soooo tell me everything!" Kylie looked down at her feet and blushed. "Perhaps there to say?" She asked dumbly.

"You and Alex of course!" I practically screamed in her ear. She had such a huge smile, it couldn't get any bigger. She looked at her feet shyly.

"Okay, He's sooo cute and I love his hair and eyes and ooo his smile and we'll everything, he's so nice and sweet and I really like him" she said very fast with a smile.

"Awww you two would make a great couple!" I said as I grabbed her arm and started jumping around like some crazy person, but I just couldn't help it! I was so happy for her!

Ryder's POV

When I got to school I went to my usual group of friends and greeted them. Today wasn't really my day, because it was Wednesday and I despise Wednesdays,I don't know why, but I just do.

When I was done talking to Alex and the rest of the group I went to my locker to get my books. When I walked into the school hallway someone bumped into me. I looked down and saw Emily. I then tensed up immediately, because I was kind of in shock to see her. I hope she didn't feel me tense up.

I don't know why, but she looks beautiful Every time I see her.

I don't like her though, okay maybe I feel something, somewhere for her, but she hates my guts so jah, she just looks beautiful.

"Sorry" she said quickly and walked right past me. She didn't even look up to see who she had bumped into. I wanted her to look up at me, but some other part of me didn't agree.

I've been ignoring her all week and it's not on purpose! I have very good reasons! But I don't want to think about that situation right now.

When she walked past me I wanted to grab her hand to stop her and get her to look up at me and just to see that I still exist. I wanted to talk to her, but my body didn't allow me. I just stood there frozen in one spot and watched her walk to her locker.

Emily's POV

School went by quite fats. I was so nervous for athletics time flew by so fast. It was last period and I really didn't want the bell to ring. I really was nervous, because I am running against my biggest competition today..... Shannon. It was always between me and her who came first with the 800m and 1500m.

Sometimes I win and sometimes she won, it was who had the most luck, we were both very good.

Then the bell rang. I felt the butterflies in my stomach. I looked at Dannon who was sitting next to me and he gave me a comforting smile. "Come on Ems, let's go lick some ass!" Dannon shouted and I shouted with him.

Me, Dannon and the rest of the athletes got onto the bus. I sat next to Dannon as usual. But then so done caught my eye. Ryder was walking into the bus.

Don't look at him, just pretend that you don't see him. My mind told me.

Don't you think that's what I'm Trying to do! I shot back.

Wow I should really stop talking to myself.

I was about to look away when our eyes connected. I felt the awkward atmosphere. Ryder quickly looked away and walked past me and Dannon. That's when Dannon and Ryder looked at each other.

I could see Dannon tensing as they stared at each other. Ryder gave Dannon the death glare and so did Dannon.

Ryder was the first one to turn his head away and walk to the back of the bus.

Later that day when the athletics were finished, I asked Dannon for a ride. I didn't want to ride the bus again and my parents couldn't come and get me. We were so happy when we got into the car. "Man Emily you kicked That Shannon's ass today!" Dannon shouted.

"Hahah you didn't do to bad yourself" I told him laughing. "Not to brag or anything , but I did win every item That I did!" Dannon shouted. "Jah, you're not bragging at all" Note the sarcasm.

We talked the whole ride home about he athletics.it was really fun. When Dannon dropped me off at my house I said my goodbyes and went into the house.

When I got into the house I wondered where Robert was. Then I remembered. He said that he would go have some drinks with the guys and will be late. I greeted my parents and told them about the athletics.

I went upstairs and took a shower. When I was done I went and laid on my bed. When my pillow hit me, I only then realized how tired I was from the long day. It wasn't long when I drifted into a deep sleep.
