Like a butterfly, bu-butterflyMark seemed to favor Jaemin more than his other friends now. Although Jaemin is... Well yeah, a little boring, Mark didn't mind it. He actually liked it. As long as it is Jaemin he is with, everything is all great.
"Sorry if you're super bored. I just--"
"No, I like this. It's okay. I enjoy your company." he genuinely smiled.
And of course, Jaemin smiled back.
They have been sitting under the tree, at the back of the school for a little too long.
"Do you think your friends will hate me? You're literally spending more time with me than them." Jaemin said, a little guilty.
"I'm sure they wouldn't mind. And besides, before we even got close, I have been talking about you to my friends." Mark honestly said. Well yes, he have been wanting to approach Jaemin for a long time. I guess Jaemin staring at his back helped a lot?
Jaemin slightly blushed at that. He never thought that the boy he been wanting to be close to, is hoping and wishing to be close to him too. To good to be true.
A moment of silence again. But never an awkward one. Really comfortable.
"아무것도 생각하지마, 난 아무 말도 꺼내지도 마." Jaemin suddenly sung, to atleast break the silence. Although comforting, he still can't stop feeling a little guilty for boring Mark out.
He believed that he ain't the best when it comes to singing, but he knows that it doesn't sound like literal trash too.
But he stopped when Mark stared at him.
"Why'd you stop? I know that song. Sing it again!" he said, clapping excitedly.
Jaemin refused, he didn't want to be told to sing. (This is one of my problems. Whenever someone asked me to sing, I always refuse to do so. I don't want to sing whenever I am told to. I sing whenever I want. I don't like how they force me to sing just because they said I am very great at it. I hate it.) He will sing whenever he feels like it. And now? He didn't feel like singing anymore. It's not that he was annoyed at how Mark asked him to continue, just that he felt a little embarassed.
"I don't feel like singing anymore. Anyways, isn't it a little late now? We been sitting here for so long." Jaemin said, half wanting to just change the topic, and half wants to go home.
He don't wanna stay for too long at the back of the school. That sounds creepy. (And crappy. Liek-- Back of the school is an overused place whenever I read ffs.)
"You're right though. Let's go?" Mark stood up, and offered his hand to Jaemin.
Jaemin gladly took it, and dusted away some dirt from his school pants.
As the two walked outside the school, Jaemin's butterfly keychain kept on making little chain noises whenever Jaemin adjusted his bag strap on his shoulders.
No reason. He likes how it is the one that breaks the silence between the two that had nothing to say so kept quiet.
