Marcella's POV
We all were enjoying drinking and dancing.it was really fun. Right now me and Massimo.while Val had gone to the washroom.
"I am scared for her" Said Mas
"Mhm?" I asked
"For Val she has been through really bad things in her past and today when she saw Alfonzo  Abriana I could she was controlling herself from breaking down. I know she is strong but I still worry for her and that is cause I  know that she was broken when they left her. Said Mas
"I know I remember how she was before we met her." I said

Uncle saw Val for the first time, sitting alone in that garden. He spent some time with her, and it wasn't long before there was a bond between them. It was like he could see the pain in her, the same pain he carried after losing our parents. After a few months, he decided to adopt her. From that day forward, Val finally had a real home. A family.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I saw Valentina walking back toward us. Massimo and I immediately stopped talking. She gave us a suspicious glance.

"What were you two talking about?" she asked, her eyes narrowing slightly."Oh, nothing important," Massimo said quickly, trying to act casual.Val seemed to accept it, but just as she was about to say something, she froze. Her eyes were locked on something—or rather, someone—across the room. I followed her gaze and immediately felt a surge of anger boil in my chest.

**Massimo's POV**How dare they.Standing near the entrance of the party were Alfonzo and Abriana, the very people who had once been Valentina's best friends—the same people who had abandoned her when she needed them most. My blood began to boil just at the sight of them.

That was it for me. I stood up abruptly and started striding toward them, my fists clenched. I could feel Valentina's eyes on me, but I didn't care. Those two had no right to be here."What the hell are you doing here?" I demanded, my voice sharp with anger.

Abriana shifted nervously, but it was Alfonzo who spoke. "We need to talk to Valentina," he said, his tone annoyingly calm.I scoffed, barely holding back my rage. "Talk? You think you deserve to talk to her? After everything you put her through? After the pain you caused her? You're lucky I don't hit women because, trust me, if I did, you'd both be on the floor right now."

Before I could say anything more, Valentina appeared beside me, her expression cold and unreadable."I don't need you to fight my battles, Massimo," she said quietly, though her tone held an edge. "I've got this."I stepped aside, but I stayed close, ready to intervene if needed. I watched as Val turned her attention to Alfonzo and Abriana, her eyes narrowing in barely restrained fury.

**Valentina's POV**Seeing them in my house, at my party, made my blood boil. Alfonzo and Abriana—the people who had abandoned me when I needed them the most—had the audacity to show up here, acting like nothing had happened."Why are you here?" I asked, my voice as cold as ice."We just want to talk, Val," Alfonzo said, taking a step forward.

I didn't let him get another word in. The sound of my hand connecting with his cheek echoed across the room. The force of the slap left a red mark on his face, but I wasn't done yet."Don't you dare call me that name. You lost the right to call me Val the day you walked out of my life," I said, my voice trembling with the effort to hold back my emotions.

"Val, we didn't want to leave," Abriana said, her voice shaky. "We were forced to."

I laughed bitterly, though tears stung my eyes. "Forced? You could've called me. You could've reached out, asked me how I was. But you didn't. You left me in that hellhole, and I had to suffer alone.""We missed you," Alfonzo said, his voice breaking. "We missed you so much. We love you. We're sorry."
"Get them out of here," I whispered through my tears.Massimo didn't hesitate. He grabbed Alfonzo and Abriana by the arms and dragged them out of the house. Once they were gone, I felt my knees give way, and I collapsed, sobbing uncontrollably. All the pain I had buried for years came rushing back. The memories, the hurt—it was too much.Marcella rushed over, pulling me into a tight hug as I cried into her shoulder. Massimo stood nearby, his face tight with anger. I stayed in Marcella's arms, trying to pull myself together. After a few minutes, I finally stopped crying. Massimo handed me a glass of water, and I took a sip, my hands shaking.Suddenly, my phone rang, breaking the silence. I wiped my eyes and looked at the screen. It was my father's right-hand man."Hello?" I answered, my voice still weak from crying."Val, it's me," came the deep voice on the other end.Something in his tone made my heart skip a beat. "What's wrong, Uncle?" I asked, suddenly on edge."There's been an accident. Your father's car... he's in critical condition at the hospital. You need to come to the Caring Cross Hospital as soon as possible."My heart stopped. "What?" I whispered, my voice barely audible."I don't know how it happened," he continued, "but a truck crashed into his car. It hit on the driver's side. Val... it doesn't look good."I hung up the phone, my hands trembling. Marcella and Massimo were already looking at me with concern."We need to get to the hospital," I said, my voice shaking. "Now."Marcella didn't ask questions. She grabbed the car keys and we rushed out the door, speeding toward the hospital. All I could think was, *Please, God, don't take him from me.*
