Inpu's POV:

"Gosh, they never learn, do they?" Inpu said, aloud.

He sounded close. I ducked down a little farther behind the tree with Artemis. We were at a disadvantage because he was a dog and we both have wings. Wings are very hard to tuck in. At least for me, since mine are huge. Artemis doesn't (currently) have that problem because he's still a kid. But his ears and tails have grown quite a lot.

"BOO!" Inpu suddenly yelled.

I jumped and wacked Inpu with my wings. Artemis also jumped. Then Artemis let out a really high and loud sound. Normal people couldn't hear it, but Inpu would. Inpu covered his ears with his hands. Inpu was shaking slightly, shaking his head. I quickly covered Artemis's mouth and shushed him.

"Artemis... calm down, it's just dad." I cooed. The noise slowly calmed down, so Inpu lowered his hands. Inpu looked at his hands and saw a little blood. Artemis saw the blood. He looked at him sadly, feeling bad. Inpu looked back at Artemis, and smiled.

"I'm oki, kid. Just hurts a little." Inpu said. I looked at him with a serious look. Inpu shook his head towards me. I sighed, and shook his head. I decided to send Artemis away so I could talk to him, in private.

"Hey, Arty? Can you go to grandma?" I asked. Artemis nodded and ran off to go find Grandma, aka Cal. Inpu watched as Artemis ran off.

"Inpu" I said. Inpu didn't look at him.

"Yes?" Inpu said, continuing to watch the area that Artemis ran off in.

"Inpu, sweetie... look at me..." I said, sincerely. Inpu sighed. He closed his eyes, lowering his head. I watched as Inpu's blood dripped from his ears to his hair then to his face to drip to the ground. I looked at the blood, worriedly. It wasn't coming out like a waterfall, but there was a lot nonetheless.

After a minute or so, Inpu faced me. He then opened his eyes, and looked at the ground. I sighed. I moved my hand to his cheek. I slowly lifted his head so Inpu would look me in the eyes. I was met with beautiful oxyn eyes looking back at my chocolate ones.

"Inpu... you need to go to Kayla and get this checked." I said, motioning with my hand towards his blood filled ears. I continued with "It's not healthy... and you know it" I gave him a worried look. Inpu looked at me sternly.

"I'm fine, Bryan. I told you to stop worrying about my ears. They're just a little muffled, that's all. He'll learn not to use it and how to use it properly in due time. For now, it'll be fine." Inpu said, seriously. I shook my head, and lowered my hand.

"Whatever you say honey..." I mumbled , unwillingly. Inpu nodded. Then, suddenly, there was a big explosion. It came from where Artemis went. Me and Inpu looked at each other. We both said "Artemis..." We both knew it wasn't Artemis's powers again. This explosion was different.

"BRYAN! GO FIND ARTEMIS AND CAL! PROTECT THEM! SEDUCTIVE ROSE IS BACK!" Inpu yelled at me, running towards the explosion. I nodded and flew off to go find Arty and Cal.

Inpu's POV:

I set Cal down, reluctantly. He requested I do so so I could run inside. So that's what I did. I ran inside. When I got inside, everything was worse. Everything around me was falling. Rubble everywhere. I couldn't even hear anything. The only thing I had on my mind was Where is Artemis and Bryan?!

I ran into a room. The walls were falling all around me. Rubble of everything around me surrounded the air. It was really hard to breathe. At one point, it got so hard to breathe that I put a cloth in front of my mouth and nose. I was trying my best not to suffocate from the air around me.

"Bryan? Artemis?" I yelled out.No response that I could hear, at least. For all I could know, they could be yelling my name, but I can't hear them. I looked around me. I couldn't see anything. Everything was just dust and rubble. I'm surprised that I didn't have little pieces of rocks sticking to my eyes.

I continued to call out to them. I strained my ears as hard as I could. The only thing I could hear were the sounds of rubble falling. Usually if I focus on one thing and try to hear them, I can. But I can only hear the sounds of rubble falling.

"Bryan! Artemis!" I yelled again. Suddenly I hear that ear piercing noise. It's very subtle, but I can hear it nonetheless. I knew who made that noise. ARTEMIS! I thought. I ran towards the noise.

Once I made it to the area, Bryan had his wings covering him and Artemis. His wings were cut up and dirtied. His usual beautifully white wings were covered in blood and dirt. I ran towards them, and covered Bryan who was covering Artemis. Bryan looked at me with sad and worried eyes.

"Get out of here. I'll be right behind you." I yelled over the rubble. He nodded and ran out with Artemis in his arms. I followed suit.

I did the best I could to protect Bryan and myself from the big rubble. I protected Bryan and Artemis more than me though. Whenever I saw big rubble about to fall on them, I'd use a spell to protect them and it would hit me.

When we finally got out, I collapsed to the ground. I layed on my stomach on the grass, eyes closed. I had dirt and rocks in my hair and tails. Dry blood stuck to my hair and inside my ears. My glasses were covered in dust. But luckily they weren't broken.

"Inpu?" asked Byan. I opened my eyes and looked at him. I gave him a confused look.

"Yes?" I said, confused. Artemis ran up beside me, and sat down next to Bryan. I looked at Artemis and smiled lightly. He in return looked at me worriedly. I sat up (even though Bryan protested against me moving) and hugged Artemis.

"I'm fine, kid. Promise" I said, smiling. He hugged back, tightly. I wrapped my tails around us. I then looked at Bryan with a worried look. I mouthed "We need to talk after this..." He nodded at me. Then he joined the hug. We sat like that for a while.

"Where's Cal?" I said.I had just realized that Cal wasn't around. I looked around and saw nothing. No one in sight. I continued to look around. I stood up. Then I heard a slight rustling in the distance. I strained my ears to hear it.

"Over here, Inpu!" called Cal. I looked over in his direction and saw that he was limping his way over.

I let go of Artemis and Bryan, got up and ran over to help him. When I arrived, I hooked my arm underneath his and wrapped my hand around his waist. Cal shook his head in protest. He even tried to escape my grip. I didn't let him, though. Even if I'm weak and injured, it doesn't mean shit.

"Inpu, I'm fine," he said. I shook my head. He sighs.

"I can't always crutch onto you, ya know..." Cal said, smiling, even chuckling a little.

"I know... But you're fresh off an injury, so I'm half too. I feel obliged to." I said. I continued my way to Bryan and Artemis. We weren't really walking. More hobbling. Once we arrived at Bryan and Artemis, I set him down. He sat down next to Artemis. I sat down next to Bryan. Cal looked at me worried. Artemis hugged his side. Cal jumped but then hugged Artemis back.

"Inpu... How are we supposed to keep him safe?" asked Bryan. I sighed and shook my head. I knew who he was talking about. I shrugged.

"We can't keep him safe forever... He will come back and try to take him..." I said, angrily. I clenched my fist tight together. How the fuck can we keep him safe?! There's no safe place here... SR can see everything. He's always one step ahead of us. I can't hide him because SR will find us.

I started shaking. I clenched my eyes tightly shut. Tears brimmed the side of my eyes. I tried not to think of the bad things. But I couldn't. He'll be killed because of me... because I couldn't protect him. HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HIM?! I start freaking out. Tears started to fall down my face.

"Inpu?" asked Cal. I opened my eyes and looked at him. Tears streaking down my face. He gave me a worried look. I looked at Artemis. He had fallen asleep. I smiled slightly at Artemis. I then shook my head, my smile dropping. I looked back at Bryan.

"What are we gonna do?"
