The Two Worlds

Chapter 4

Arti's POV:

Grandma looked more like his god, Khonsu. He turned around. His eyes were glowing a bright white. He looked at me with a worried look. Grandma kneeled down and looked at my neck. He slightly rubbed it. I flinched in pain. He quickly pulled his hand away.

"Are you ok, Arty?" He asked. I nodded and stood up. Grandma started at my neck. Then I slowly looked down at my body. I think he was looking for other injuries. He sighed and shook his head. He stood up and turned around, facing SR.

"I don't think that was necessary, Seductive Rose..." he said. His voice was... different. Like the usual British voice I'm used to. It was kind of echo-y. God like even. That probably doesn't make much sense but I'm not sure how to explain it. SR looked at him with wide eyes. Then he glared at him.

"Khonsu..." he said, angrily. Khonsu? Isn't that Grandma's god? I thought, confused. I tilted my head confused.

"The one and only!" 'Khonsu' said.

He opened his arms wide, bowing slightly. He smirked. SR growled in anger. He then ran at Grandma, er I mean Khonsu, with his sword out. Khonsu sighed in annoyance. He looked at SR. There was a snap. Suddenly, time was frozen. He stopped moving but me and Khonsu could move. I looked at Khonsu, confused.

"K-Khonsu?" I stuttered out. He looked at me, tilting his head.

"Hm?" he hummed.

"W-Where am I?" I asked, looking around. He sighed and shook his head. He pulled me to the left so that SR was beside us. He spun around on his heel to face me. He kneeled in front of me, looking me in the eyes. His glowing white eyes went back to his normal teal ones.

"You're in the Corridor of Time... But... I didn't open it, so I don't know how you're here..." said Cal/Khonsu. I stared at him with wide eyes, terrified. W-What?! H-How! I thought. He raised his hand and snapped. SR was moving again. He ran right into the wall where me and Khonsu were standing. His sword got stuck in the wall, so SR just left it and faced us.

"WHAT THE FUCK KHONSU?!" yelled SR.

"You were gonna hurt us. So I had to do something..." Khonsu said, calmly. Seductive Rose growled in anger.

"Y-You angry, SR? I-It's not like y-you can do m-much e-except kill!" I teased, stuttering a little. SR glared daggers at me. I cowered back a little.

"You're gonna regret saying that, you little shit!" he yelled.

He ran at me. Luckily, Khnosu was in front of me. Khonsu sighed in annoyance, and snapped his fingers again. Just like last time he snapped, time froze for everything around us except for me and Khonsu.

"Gosh, this is getting annoying." he said, lowering his head. He closed his eyes and sighed. He turned and faced me and said "Sorry Kid... I know this is getting kind of annoying. Why don't we go back home and talk to your parents?" I nodded.

Outside the Corridor of Time:

I sat up with a jolt. I wasn't in the yard outside Grandma's house anymore. I was now in the hospital wing. I looked around to see Dad sitting in a bed to my left, talking to Papa. Grandma was sitting next to me but in a chair to my right.

Grandma was laying in his arms, which were on my bed. He was still asleep. Well, for a moment he was. Suddenly, he jolted awake. Look at me. Got up and hugged me. He looked normal again.

"You're ok!" he said, squeezing me tightly.

Dad and Papa looked at us with wide eyes. Papa got up from his seat. Walked over to me and Grandma. And hugged us both tightly. Once Grandma and Papa let go of us, Papa wacked me right side up my head with his wings.

"Owie! What was that for?!" I said, rubbing the back of my head.

"For scaring us half to death!" Papa says, giving me a stern look. I look down at the look of disappointment from him.

He continues to say "You should have told us where you were going! I know you can't control your powers just yet, but still! You need to tell us about the dreams you have! You can't disappear either! You're lucky Khonsu noticed that the corridor was open without him!" I gave him a confused look.

What powers? I thought, confused. No way do I have powers. I way be a semi-god, but that doesn't mean much. I don't have the powers of the dead like Dad does. I don't have the power of love either like Papa does. Even if I did, I don't even know how to control it like Papa said! No way... Prosperous.

I tilted my head at Papa., utterly confused. Papa chuckled lightly. He looked at Dad and Grandma. He said something to them, but I wasn't really paying attention. I was trying to figure out what Papa meant by 'I know you can't control your powers just yet.' It just straight up confused me.

"W-What do you mean, Papa?" I asked, finally. He looked at me. He hummed to me, a little confused too.

I continued with "What powers are you talking about?" Papa's eyes widened. He then sighed, realizing something. He looked at Dad and Grandma and said something. Dad tried to protest, but Grandma stopped him.

"It's for his safety, Inpu..." said Grandma. Dad sadly nodded. They all looked at me. I tilted my head a little, in confusion. Were they talking about me? I thought.

"Artemis, honey... Go with Grandma please..." said Papa, sadly.

Papa's wings drooped slightly. Dad's ears were down, his tails dragging on the groundI hesitated for a moment. I-I want to go... B-But I have a bad feeling about it... Papa and Dad are never like this... unless something bad happens... I thought, worried. G-Grandmas is sad too! He never likes to show that emotion...

I looked at them worriedly. My ears and wings drooped. My tails stopped swaying, and layed on the ground, sadly. I sighed, and looked down. Even Though I didn't want to, I followed Grandma. I didn't want Papa and Dad to be angry at me. I followed Grandma to the forbidden area. I looked at Grandma confused.

"W-Where are we going, G-Grandma?'' I asked, worriedly.

I-I'm never allowed here! Even with an adult... Why is Grandma taking me here?! I thought, terrified. Suddenly, Grandma stopped walking. He turned around and faced me. He kneeled down to my height.

"Arty... You need to trust me, ok? This is for your own safety." he said. He then grabbed me, and threw me onto his shoulder. So I was laying on my stomach on his shoulder. I started to kick and scream at him to put me down. He stood up and started to walk to this rift looking thing.

"Grandma! No!" I yelled.

"I'm sorry, Arty... I'll see you soon.." said Grandma. He threw me through the rift thingy. I felt my ears and wings fade away. My body morphs into a human's body.

"Grandma!" was the last thing I yelled before everything went black.

Cal's POV:

He looked at us worriedly. His ears and wings drooped. His tails stopped swaying, and layed on the ground, sadly. He sighed, and looked down. He followed me to the forbidden area.

"W-Where are we going, G-Grandma?'' he asked, worriedly. Suddenly, I stopped walking. I turned around and faced Arty. And kneeled down to his height.

"Arty... You need to trust me, ok? This is for your own safety." I said. I then grabbed him, and threw Arty onto my shoulder. So he was laying on his stomach on my shoulder. He started to kick and scream at me to put him down. I didn't listen. I stood up and started to walk to the rift.

"Grandma! No!" he yelled.
