Chapter 24

Outside Monarch Academy:

Quick Author's POV:

A colorful portal opened in the sky suddenly. It was a beautiful galaxy-like color. Kinda blended together. It was very pretty. Sorry! Getting distracted (as usual). The portal wasn't HUGE but it wasn't small. And a certain someone saw it.

"What. The. Fuck. Is. That." they said, curiously. They decided to sneak towards it. And see what the fuck it is. They crouched behind a bush. Waiting to see if something came through it. Suddenly, a certain child of a glow stick came flying though.

"Ah!" he screamed as he fell.

He was falling with his back to the ground. That's gonna hurt when he hits... thought the mystery person. Shino continued to fall. The portal was pretty high up. And then he hit the ground with a groan.

The mystery person wanted to go check on him. I mean, Shino's their bro. But they wanted to figure out why that happened. See if they could get some info out of hiding. So they stayed hidden. They watched from the shadows. Let's go to Shino's POV now and see how he's doing.

Shino's POV:

Suddenly, I could see again. It wasn't dark anymore. I could see what was happening around me. Which was pretty scary, in my opinion. I mean, I was falling from the sky! Like a freaking fallen angel!

"Ah!" I screamed as I fell.

I was falling with my back to the ground. The portal, sadly, was pretty high up. So I knew this was gonna hurt like ahit. I'm gonna be so sore after this... I might end up breaking my back... I thought, as the ground got closer. And closer. And closer. And then I hit the ground with a groan.

"Ow..." I groaned.

I layed there for a moment. Trying to soothe the pain the best I could. Luckily for me, I didn't break my back. But I'm pretty sure I bruised it internally and externally. It hurt that badly. I opted not to move for a moment. Then I remembered why I was here. And why I fell through a portal.

"Shit! Artemis!" I said, shooting right up. Immediately regretted that. Shoots of pain went through my spine.

"Ow..." I groaned again, rubbing my spine.

"That hurt..." I got up (even though it took me a moment). It was painful. But, let's not worry about that. I tried to stretch it off. It didn't help much, but it's fine. I looked around to figure out where I was. Once I did, I looked for where the nurses office was.

"Time to take a little jog..." I mumbled to myself. To my left, I heard a bush russel. That wasn't my biggest worry though. I was too worried about Arti. So I then booked it to the Nurses Office.

??? POV:

"What. The. Fuck. Is. That." they said, curiously.

I decided to sneak towards it. And see what the fuck it is. I was crouched behind a bush. Waiting to see if something came through it. Suddenly, a certain child of a glow stick came flying though.

"Ah!" he screamed as he fell.

Wtf? I thought, utterly confused. He was falling with his back to the ground. The portal, sadly for him, was pretty high up. I had a feeling that this was gonna hurt like shit for him. Like... Huge shit. He got closer. And closer. And closer. And then he hit the ground with a groan.

"Ow..." he groaned.

I flinched slightly at the sound that was made. That sounded pretty fucking painful. I thought, sadly. I really wanted to go help him, but I couldn't. I didn't- No couldn't give away my hiding spot. That wouldn't be a good idea.

He laid there for a moment. He was trying to soothe the pain the best he could. Luckily for him, he didn't break his back. But I'm pretty sure he bruised it internally and externally. It hurt that badly. I opted not to move for a moment. It then looked like he had a realization or something.

"Shit! Artemis!" he said, shooting right up. But then he immediately regretted that.

"Ow..." he groaned again, rubbing his spine. "That hurt..." He got up. And he tried to stretch it off. It didn't help much, but it's fine. He looked around to figure out where he was. Once he did, he looked for where the nurses office was.

"Time to take a little jog..." he mumbled to himself. I accidentally shuffled a little bit. Which made the bush ruffled slightly. I was hoping that he didn't notice. Luckily for me, he booked it to the Nurses Office. I sighed in relief.

I'm glad he didn't notice. or care. Surprised he didn't though. It was pretty loud and noticeable. I thought, thankful. I stood up. Brushed off the dust off me. I looked at the way Shino went. I was debating whether or not I want to go after him.

"I could go see what happened. And try to help... But he's also pissed at me right now. I don't think i'd be very much help...'' I mumbled. If I could pace, I would. But since I was in a bush, I didn't. I'd rather not get stabbed to death by prickly thorns. Not sure if there is any. But I didn't want to find out. Sorry. Getting off track. I continued to debate. But I didn't get to choose what to do. Someone had called my name.

"Kol!" Upon hearing my name, I spun around.

"Yes?" I said.

Shino's POV:

When I was in sight of the Nurses office, I booked it inside. I was wasting no more time on this. I have no idea how much time has passed. And if Arti is ok. I wouldn't be able to handle it if he wasn't. It would be my fault for his severe injuries.

I was trying to cut as many corners as I could. I would jump over hedges. Cut through grass. Push people out of the way. Just Kidding, there was no one around. Everyone was at their dorms or with their parents at their homes. Because it's Summer Break.

I ran through the front doors. Then I stopped. Oh Shi- I thought, realizing something. I have no clue where he is... I don't even know where he is... He could be anywhere. He could be in here. Or he could be a- Before I could finish my thought, I heard a familiar voice. It was muffled, but I could still hear him.

"I understand a lot is happening... But please calm down, ok?" he said. Ronin! I thought, trying to figure out where his voice was coming from. I walked down the hall slowly, hoping that they would continue talking. Or they would walk out of the room.

"Sorry..." Rikku's there too? I thought, still trying to find them. Rikku had paused and looked at Venus. "Please continue on, Venus"

I had finally found the room. I took a deep breath in. Then exhaled slowly. That was kinda hard. I was breathing heavily. God, I hope there's no one in front of the door. I then turned the knob, and accidentally banged the door open. I jumped slightly.

"Artemis!" I huffed. Rikku spun around to look at the person. I had one hand on the door, one hand on my leg. I was not only trying to catch my breath, but I was also trying to calm down my heart. It scared me too. I had my golden hair falling in front of my face.

"S-Shino?!" gasped Artemis. I stood up straight, and smiled. Everyone was looking at me confused. Rikku looked at me with wide eyes. Database was looking at me with a curious look.

"Are you ok?" Rikku asked, worriedly. I completely ignored that question. That wasn't my current problem. My current problem was Arti. To see if he was injured. And if he was ok. If he wasn't... Boy oh Boy, someones gonna get it.

"I heard what happened... Are you ok Arti?!" I yelled.

I walked up to Arti, completely worried. I checked him out. Not the weird way or sexual way. No, he's too innocent for that. In a way of looking for injuries and stuff. I was about to throw some fists if something happened to him.

"Shino and Rikku. Can we talk for a moment?" asked Database.
