Jordan and I had become very close in the past few weeks. Things were going great. She made me smile everyday and I always found a way to hug her everyday.

But there was something wrong with me. I was having a hard time breathing and I didn't know what was wrong.

One day, I was running in gym and Jordan was with me. I had to stop and I was gasping for breath. I was taken to the nurse and then rushed to the hospital.

There was something really wrong with my lungs. I couldn't breath and I had to get treatments every two hours and wear an oxygen mask.

Of course, Jordan visited me as soon as she could. She came along with Alex. It was great. I was cuddled up with Jordan the whole time and she refused to leave my side.

Alex and Dan had gone to get some snacks and that left me and Jordan. I had taken off my oxygen mask so I could talk and Jordan was cuddled into my neck. She sat up a little and I looked her in the eyes. I started leaning towards her and she mirrored me. I was half an inch away from her when suddenly Dan and Alex walked in. I instantly pulled away and Jordan put her face in my neck and I could feel her cheeks heating up. Alex looked at the blush in my cheeks and grinned.

"Did we interrupt something?"

I blushed even more and laughed.

"No. Nothing at all."

Alex winked at me and started laughing along with Dan.

A nurse came in and said I had to take a treatment now. I sighed and Jordan got off of me and sat down in a chair. She looked worried and scared. I just smiled at her and put my mask on.

As soon as the nurse left, Jordan came over to my bed and rubbed my arm. I tried talking but I failed and they all laughed at me.

Soon enough, it was done. The nurse came in and listened to me breath. She frowned as she took some notes. No one else seemed to notice her frown as she walked out of the room.

I was quiet for the rest of the evening and I could tell that they noticed. Alex and Dan left before Jordan did and she asked me what was wrong.

"Don't be worried but I don't think the treatments are helping. The nurse didn't seem happy with the results."

Jordan snuggled into my arms and just hugged me. I hugged her back and that was how we stayed until her mom called.

"I have to go, Sam. I'll see you soon, ok?"

"Ok. Text me." I smiled reassuringly.

"Of course." She kissed my cheek and squeezed my hand before she left.

I sighed as I watched her leave
