The next five days dragged. I hardly slept and I was bored. I constantly thought of Jordan.

But I had finally gotten home last night. The pneumonia was cleared from my lungs and I was good. I was going to see Jordan tomorrow at a carnival. I was so excited.

I texted her the whole day and most of the night.

Finally, I was getting ready to leave. My grandma drove my sister and I to the carnival and we got our tickets and snacks. I wandered around for an hour with Riley and Hailey until Jordan finally arrived.

I suddenly was blind and felt a crushing force around my neck. I was momentarily stunned until I realized Jordan was hugging me. I hugged her back tightly and smiled.

"I missed you so much! I'm so glad you're back!" She smiled and then hugged me again.

We started wandering around and then my sister met up with us. We went on some rides and talked until we had to leave.

"Bye, Jordan. See you tomorrow at school." I waved and hugged her before I left. She smiled.

I got home and showered and then started texting Jordan. We were being somewhat romantic until I got thrown completely off guard.

From: Jordan

This is her mom. Stop texting her.

I gasped. No! No! NO! Her mom found out! That was impossible. We had been so careful!

I fell onto my bed and cried for hours, terrified. I was afraid for Jordan.

Would she be ok
