"Tokito-dono!" Kanamori ran towards Muichiro in a hurry. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I'm fine. I feel absolutely great." No, no he didn't. But he refused to admit that. "I need to go to Sara now."

"You look absolutely horrible. Are you sure?" It was a pointless question, since the answer was very obvious.

"I am totally okay." Muichiro lied in a deadpan voice. "Nothing's wrong with me, are you listening?"

"Hm? I hear wheezes. Is your body shaking?! Are you..." Kanamori pressed on.

"Come on, dammit." Muichiro was annoyed. "Can you at least check on Kotetsu?"

And, as expected, Muichiro was not okay.

He coughed up foam from his mouth, dropping down to the ground in an instant. The poison had reached his blood circulation, so he was totally not okay.

Kanamori rushed to the young boy's side. "Oh crap, crap is he dead?! Should I call someone? Haganezuka-san!! Waghhh! He's choking on foam! What do I do??"

"You should put him on his side." Kotetsu appeared out of nowhere.

"WAHHHH! Young Kotetsu's ghost!"

"No, I didn't die at all. I'm not a ghost."

"No no no, you're dead. You just have no idea you're a ghost."

"No no no, I'm alive."

"No no no, you should have bled out after you got stabbed in the solar plexus."

"No no no, that was actually my arm, it just stained there since I was pressing my arm down on this part."

These idiots.

Obanai ran frantically to the Swordsmith Village. And only one person was on his mind. Mitsuri.

It doesn't matter that the kid is strong. She can't be trusted to protect her.

People were selfish, he knew that from the moment he was born. He grew up with a clan of thieves who lived only off of riches stolen from the people killed by the demon they worshipped.

Even Obanai considered himself selfish. He had run away from the demon one day, resulting in all his family members' deaths except for one of his cousins. So yes, he didn't think he was any better than Sara.

However, he loved Mitsuri. He trusted himself to be the most selfless person in there world for her sake. As for Sara? He didn't trust her to do the same.

Stuck in a dire situation, people only save themselves.

So, with all his stamina and speed, he arrived at the village in an incredibly short amount of time. Yet he was more surprised than ever when he saw the state that Mitsuri was in. Pleasantly surprised.

She was bleeding, with some wounds here and there, but there was nothing that could possibly be fatal.

Sara, on the other hand, was slumped in a corner next to Tanjiro, bleeding heavily. Mitsuri tried to crawl towards the younger girl, but she was too tired from the fight.

Obanai instantly stopped her from moving. "Stay still." He muttered.

He approached Sara swiftly, who simply looked up at him with tired eyes.
