Whilst watching the butterflies flutter over the field of flowers, Muichiro was once again reminded of that girl. Yuhiko Sara.

Muichiro found it all too easy to forget, yet he was never able to forget this girl even if he tried - because even if he did forget, she would surely visit him the next day and make him remember again.
He didn't know why she was so persistent in seeing him every day. Today, he thought that perhaps the girl would stop, for it was beginning to rain quite heavily.

There's no way she'll come again today. It's pouring. If she comes here to see me again, she'll catch a cold.

Just as Muichiro became immersed in his own thoughts, a person came knocking at the door. "Tokito-san, I've brought some food with me." A calm voice called.

Yep, it was her again.

"Tokito-san, your door is locked." The same voice spoke again.

Slowly, Muichiro walked to the door and opened it. Looking down, he got excited when he saw that Sara had brought simmered radish with sweet miso. His mood brightened up a little. He tried to hide that something was wrong, but Sara noticed it straight away.

"Tokito-san, what's wrong?"

Muichiro didn't reply. Sara didn't mind, she was already used to him not replying to her - it was obvious that Muichiro wasn't very interested in talking, well, nor was she for that matter.

It was interesting, how both of them were quite introverted and didn't talk much, but for some reason Sara always found herself talking more when they were together. It was as if being with Muichiro awakened a more talkative side of her.

Seeing that Muichiro wasn't going to answer her, she put the basket of food down. "Let's eat. I can tell you haven't eaten anything today."

They continued in silence as they ate the food that Sara cooked. She was a good chef.

"You know if there's anything wrong, Tokito-"

"Muichiro." He cut in suddenly. "Call me Muichiro."

Sara widened her eyes in surprise. This was only the fourth time she had heard him talk since they first met.

"O-oh, Muichiro...kun?" She replied hesitantly. As per usual though, Muichiro didn't reply. "In that case, call me Sara."

The boy just briefly nodded and kept eating. He seemed to have cheered up now, perhaps all he wanted was to be on a first-name basis with Sara.

"Muichiro-kun, it's your birthday in a few days, isn't it?" Sara asked.

Muichiro nodded in confirmation. He was somewhat surprised she remembered, really, but he supposed not everyone had terrible memory like him.

"Then, is there anything you would like to do on your birthday?"

Anything I would like to do? I don't know... how did I celebrate my birthdays before? I can't remember.

Sara waited patiently for his answer while he thought of some possibilities.

"I want to..." He started softly.

"Hm? What was that?"

"I want to spend the day with you."

At first, Sara was taken aback. Really? I didn't think he enjoyed my company. She thought.

But then she felt happy. Happy that someone enjoyed her presence... happy that someone wanted to spend time with her. Sub-consciously, she broke out a quiet laugh.
