final chapter :P

By the time Jihye arrived to the operating room, a crowd of people - both medical and not - were surrounding the doorway.

"I need any non medical staff to step away from the operating room entrance, you all cannot be huddled around here! Please return to the room you were originally in or you will be escorted out of the hospital by security, thank you!" Jihye said with a straight face and everyone began leaving.

"Namjoon, status report," she spoke.

"A few nurses have entered the room. Last thing I saw was Dr. Min using the defibrillator on the patient before the door closed."

Jihye looked through the circular windows, seeing Jimin and Seokjin closing her stomach to prevent any more blood loss while Yoongi and Hoseok trying to shock her heart back into action. The nurse felt her eyes water and looked away.

"C'mon Taejin, you got this."

Yoongi sighed in defeat, setting down the defibrillator. "I'm sorry, Jungkook," he whispered as the monitor fell silent.

Hoseok looked over at him with wide eyes. "No, no, no, no! I'm not giving up, give me that!" He snatched the tool from Yoongi and began trying to shock her heart back. "Taejin, you can do this, dear. C'mon."

"Hoseok."

"No."

"Hoseok!"

"No!"

"HOSEOK!"

The doctor looked up at Jimin with teary eyes. "Just let her rest, Hoseok," Jimin said softly. The doctor took one last breath before doing a final shock.

And the monitor suddenly beeped back to life.

Hoseok widened his eyes. Jimin and Seokjin looked at the monitor breathless, while Yoongi quickly moved to find a pulse.

Yoongi put two fingers to her neck, concentrating until he felt the faint taps of a heart beat. He chuckled softly and looked at Hoseok, "Well done, Dr. Jung."

Jimin and Seokjin began cheering together, relishing the feeling that they saved a young girl's life. Jimin looked out the door windows and made eye contact with Jihye, before breaking out into a toothy grin and giving her a thumbs up.

Jihye smiled and without a second thought, began running back to find a specific boy with a bunny smile.

Jungkook was just about ready to make his way down to the operating room himself before the door bursted open, Jihye a panting mess. The boy looked at her for answers, and the nurse crashed into him with a bone crushing hug.

"She's okay?" Jungkook asked impatiently.

Jihye looked at him with a bright smile and teary eyes. "Damn right she is, bunny boy."

Jungkook broke down into tears of joy, thanking every possible person and thing he could as he hugged Jihye again. "Thank you, thank you, thank you," he cried.

Soon after the doctors and nurses finished the operation and running scans and tests, Taejin was sleeping soundly on her bed in her room with Jungkook sitting next to her.

Jungkook stared at her with soft eyes, a hand clutching hers and another caressing her cheek. The color was slowly coming back to her face, and her under eyes were going away. After staring for a while, he noticed a few of her eyebrow hairs were slowly growing back.

The male dropped his hand from her face, feeling his eyes growing heavy from all the crying he's done. So, he rested his head on her mattress and lulled himself to sleep.

After a while, Jungkook felt a hand on his, and he sleepily opened his eyes to see Taejin awake and peering at him with droopy eyes.

"Looks like I lived, huh," Taejin said softly.

"Oh baby," Jungkook sat up quickly from where he was and collapsed onto her, wrapping her figure in his arms with another wave of tears wanting to fall. "I thought I lost you, oh my goodness. Fuck, I'm never leaving you again."

Taejin smiled as she returned the embrace. She felt tears dampening her hospital gown and looked at the male's face, seeing the streaks that were down his cheeks. She wiped at them gently with a loving stare, resting her forehead on his.

"You thought it'd be that easy to get rid of me?" She said teasingly and the boy felt a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth, moving to connect his lips with hers.

Happy that the two were now in perfect health.
