Emy couldn't hold back the emotions bubbling in her as the giggling and laughing of her friends continued in the soft light if the evening.

The fairy lights doing little to hide the tears that were forming in her eyes.
She stood from where she sat, with the perfect view of all her friends as they sat around the table, together, for what could be the last time.

Emy cleared her throat immediately getting the attention of all of them, silence filling the room for the first time since they all arrived.

" Hi," she began awkwardly, getting out a couple of giggles and snorts from them, who knew this was how she'd begin. They've been in this situation countless of times. But the feeling never changes..

" I guess this is the part where I give a speech and raise for a toast," she raised her glass, smiling shakily. " It's been years since we all got together. Years of friendship. That's something, especially with a group as big as ours."

" We've had our moments, where we fought, screamed even left," glances were exchanged among the group as she continued, " but what makes us special is we always got back together. No matter what happened, we always forget and forgave, we never let each other go."

Emy sniffled, the glass in her hand drooping slightly,

" Today, as we sit together, we realize this could be our last day together. The last time we cook together, play together, simply watch anime together. We were always bound to go our separate ways, I just always hoped it wouldn't be so soon."

Everyone in the room held back choked up tears,

" It always felt like forever when we are together. And time passed so fast when we are away. If time stopped right now I wouldn't mind it. Even so, it's time to grow up. Even if we grow up it doesn't mean we have to grow apart."

Emy put the glass down taking the hands of her friends who were closest to her.
" I'm not certain of the future, we may never see each other again, we may become too different. But I hope that one day, someday, we get to see each other again. Sit together like this again. I hope this is a promise we can keep."

" So I raise my glass, once again, to us."
