"Friend or not, I'm keeping you forever, '' I murmured and walked down to her home.

Going down the stairs, I realized that Raina would be my first female friend!

I don't know how to behave with a female friend, who's not your girlfriend... maybe like how normal guys are? But it would be too harsh on that little dumpling.

She deserves anything but rough treatment. She's a princess of an empire she has got no clue about!

I don't understand why her father never told her about his work? He's taking advantage of her not watching the news and reading newspapers!

On the first day of school when I saw her sleeping with bags around her, I didn't know who she was... then in the staff room, I don't know why teasing her was so fun, those short hands and legs seemed cute.

Then Nanu recognized her. I was confused but glared at her the whole way. And did not like how he tried to propagate about my mama to her! Why?!

He's anything but fit for her!

Then that smug smile she pulled on the bus when she said she was rich to eat nice food. My heart tugged back and forth wanting to come out of the rib cage!

Since then, when I tried to stay away from her, I realized she was doing it too.

Then at the mall again we met, I almost forgot we would be meeting for Karthik mama's wedding preparations. It surprised me to see such a nice family taunting her for her weight and that psycho girl who tried to touch me.

But when Raina avoided me, I hated it.

On the bus, she said her friend was Sherlyn. I knew she was lying, but I kept quiet as I didn't want those morons to know.

But that secret lasted short as we all saw her talking to Shivanshika like she's in another world and those witty sassy replies to Sherlyn.

Oddly, they both didn't want to go out on breaks since Raina became acquainted with us. But again, it made me happy that she didn't sit with any of the guys.

She tried talking but those morons kept making her feel uncomfortable so I asked them to drop trying to force her into a conversation.

Is this really how friends feel? I like her but is it romantically or just because she's my person now?

Such a teen thought.

I shrugged my thoughts and entered her home. I saw our parents sitting in the dining room, eating snacks and talking.

"What should I do? I'm getting bored" I asked ma.

"Eat this first, you came from school na" she passed me a plate filled with food.

"Okay" I took that plate and settled on a chair near my parents.

"How are studies going beta?" Pranav uncle asked.
