Chapter2:The New Girl

Selena's POV:
As i entered the school i sat near the basketball court where y/n, chris and I usually hang out. I saw y/n coming and i was surprised as he was early to the school unlike always."Good Morning Sel" he said excitedly giving me a warm hug "good morning y/n/n" i said smiling.
When he pulled back from hug I see his face was bruised and a little purple coloured swelling near his right eye which he is trying to hide with glasses. I was worried. He saw me silently for a moment and maybe he understood what was I thinking. "You look so pretty today" he said looking directly in my eyes "just today?" I asked blushing and before he could say anything chris joined us 'damn you chris' i thought.
"Y/n!" He exclaimed looking at his watch "yeah yeah i am on time today" y/n said smiling. We both hugged chris good morning. "Chris,bro i am so sorry i didnt made out last night. I know you guys were really looking forward to it but i got some emergency so i didnt came. I owe you guys a sincere apology" he said looking at both of us. "Well you owe a lot..to both of us but i forgive you" chris said and y/n turned to me "i forgive you too" i said nodding and he smiled.
"Let's get to our classes" y/n said and we all walked together till we reached to our different classes.

I was still worried about y/n's bruises. He did a nice job hiding it. I mean chris didnt even noticed anything. I was interrupted by the bell indicating the period was over.
Now I had maths class and y/n will be in the same class. I will try to sit with him and ask about what is really going on with him. I thought.

Y/n's POV:
I was waiting for selena leaning against the wall near maths class. Then i saw her coming towards me smiling like crazy. "You are sitting with me" she said dropping her smile and with a serious tone. "Yes mam" i nodded making her smile again.
We sat next to each other. I pulled out the book from my bag and i see selena eyeing me closely. "Ah geez! You scared me sel" she was too close to my face and seeing her suddenly scared me.
She laughed and tried to take my glasses off. I stopped her putting my hand on hers and pushing it away gently. She raised her brows looking at me seriously and tried to do that again but this time with serious and concerned look in her eyes. And this time i dont know what went through me, I didnt stopped her. She took off my glasses cupping my face and gently touching the swelling near my right eye. I can see her eyes started to water seeing my face. She tried to say something but stopped when i leaned closer to her. She leaned even closer to me as i can feel her hot breaths on my lips. Before we did something we heard the door open and lecturer entered the class. We both pulled ourselves back and i immediately put my glasses back on. I turn to see selena and she was blushing.
"Good afternoon class" the lecturer greeted."before we start i would like to introduce to a new student. She joined here today and i would like all of you to be good with her" he said and gestured near the door saying someone to come in.
Then a tall brunette entered the class shyly walking towards the dias looking at the floor as he walks."Hi, I am Hailee. Nice to meet you all" she said in low tone shyly. I was stunned by her beauty. Her hazel eyes shining by the rays coming from the window. Her smile was like...wait what am i thinking. I shook my head brushing away the thoughts about a girl who just joined the class.
"Are you okay" selena asked holding my hand under the desk. I nodded
She turned towards the board blushing. I didnt saw her but i know she was blushing.
Then the new girl took her seat somewhere in the first rows and the class started.

"Are you free tonight" selena asked not looking away from the lecturer. "Yeah why" i asked "i thought... maybe ..we can hang out.. just me and you" she asked hesitantly. "Yeah I would love that" i said and she looked at me smiling with excitement.

After the class we headed to the school cafeteria for lunch. Chris was waiting for us already. I will bring our orders chris said leaving and we get seated.
Selena and I were sitting quietly without saying anything. Then she suddenly looked and my face before wrapping her arm around my neck. Before i tried to lean we were interrupted by an unknown voice. "Hi.." she trailed
We looked at the person standing next to us "Can I... have lunch with you guys if you dont mind" she asked shyly holding her lunch tray. It was hailee the new girl.
"Yeah yeah sure" selena said gesturing towards the seat. "I am hailee. I saw you guys in math class today. I was hoping we can be friends as i dont know anyone here" she said. Maybe she isnt too shy i thought seeing her forwardness.
"Yeah we'd love to be friends with you" again selena spoke. "I am selena and he is y/n" she intriduced us to her. "Hi selena and hi y/n" she said and i felt her voice changed when she looked at me and greeted. Maybe she saw my bruise near the eye or maybe its something else,I thought.
"Hi" i said smiling at her and fixing my glasses.

After a moment chris joined us and we all talked enjoyed our company with a new friend. To be honest she was so good in making conversations and she really got along with us in just one lunch...
