Chapter3: The Thrash

Selena's POV:
I was on my way home and i couldnt stop thinking about today. 'Was y/n trying to kiss me' and that thought was enough to give me butterflies in my stomach. I liked him from a very long time. Does he like me back. I dont know but I cant lose him or i dont want to scare him off by sharing my feelings for him.
I reached to my house. I was so excited for tonight as y/n said he is going to hang out with me. I just wanted to make this night memorable. I took a deep breath before parking my car and as i was heading towards my door i saw hailee walking with some bags in her hand. 'What is she doing here' i asked my self before calling her. She was surprised seeing me. "Hey, you here?" I asked. "Yeah, I just went out for some essentials and was just going to my apartment." She says putting the bags down. " what are you doing here?" She asked smiling.
"Well i live here" i said gesturing to my house.
"Oh wow!" She exclaimed "we are neighbours then. I live in the apartment next to your house" she pointed the apartment 2 blocks away from my house. "Oh thats cool" i said and she smiled in return. "Shall I walk you to you apartment" i offered "No its fine" she said picking the bags up. "Give one to me" i took a bag from her as she was struggling to hold both.
We talked on our way to her apartment.
"Thank you selena." She said taking the bag from me as we were standing near the apartment door.
"Its okay." I said "you can hang out anytime neighbour" i said smiling. She gave me a hug before getting in.

I was getting ready as y/n could be here at any moment. I take a look in the mirror 'perfect' i said before texting y/n

Sel🌺: Sphagetti and meatballs are waiting.

I read the message again and again. What's with that emoji. Will he kiss....
I was interrupted by my doorbell ringing.
Is he here this fast. I thought on my way to open door. I set my hair nervously and opened door.
"Hi..woah! Someone's looking so gorgeous tonight" she said smirking.
It was hailee. Y/n could be here anytime what is she doing here. I can't send her back too. "Hello, you there?" She waved infront off my face pulling me back from thoughts.
"Oh yeah come on in" i moved back allowing her to enter. "Are you going out some where.? Am i here at bad time?" She asked
"No..I and y/n were going for movies after having dinner at my place" i said
"Ah well you guys enjoy. I Will come back another time" she said turning back and leaving. I wanted to keep quiet and let her go but...
"Hi,Hailee" y/n greeted confused.
She greeted back and i heard some change in her voice. "You here?" He asked confused. "Yeah i live around here" she said. "Oh" he said. Then he looked at me. "Hello there" he came and pulled me in a tight hug. When we pulled back I saw the bruise near his eye was clearly visible as he wasn't wearing his glasses.

Y/n's POV:
I wasn't expecting hailee here and selena already knew about my bruise so i avoided glasses for tonight.
"Y/n are you okay" hailee asked
"Yeah why" I asked confused. She then came close touching the swollen part near my eye gently. "What's this" she asked. damn her soft hand feel so...fuck y/n what are you thinking. "Oh nothing... its just... I got hit by a basketball" i said and she pulled back her hand. I saw selena and i can see a confused and a little bit jealous look on her face. "Okay guys see you tomorrow" hailee said as she turned to leave and i am so sure that she didnt buy my excuse about that bruise but anyway.
"Hailee" i called out making her turn back. "Would you like to join us for movies in an hour i guess".
"Well..." she trailed off looking at selena.
"Yeah it would be fun" selena said. "Okay then, text me the details" she said before leaving.

"You're okay with it right?" I asked taking a bite of meatball. "Okay with what?" She asked. "About hailee joining us for movies".
"Yeah why would i not be okay with it" she laughed.
"You know.." i trailed off
"Y/n" she called looking directly into my eyes. "Yeah?" I asked
"You are okay right?" Before i said anything, she grabbed my hands. "I can't see you like this. I know you are doing it for a good reason. But you have your own life" she said with watery eyes. "I am fine sel" i hold her hands tight, rubbing my thumb across her knuckles. " i am sitting here with my best friend having my favourite dish with her, that's the thing i need in my life and i already have it" she smiled and tear roll down her cheek. I wipe it with my hand "you want me to cry now?" I ask making her giggle

Selena's POV:

Y/n, Hailee and I had fun watching the movie. Hailee kept me laughing all the movie making silly jokes about the ongoing scenes. While we were returning back from the mall, we suddenly heard gun firing sounds on the ground floor.
I took a peek and saw 4 men with gun holding 2 hostages. I got scared so got hailee. I look around seeing everywhere and y/n was missing.
I got worried. "Where's y/n?" Hailee asked. "I dont know" i said "let's take a cover" i said.
As we we're trying to find some place to hide we heard large thuds and firing sounds again. Then suddenly a goon appeared and grabbed hailee by her neck locking his arm around and pointing gun on her head. "Hailee!" I screamed. "Shut the fuck up!" The goon warned. He was constantly turning around looking here and there scared.
Then suddenly a man in black dress with a black flydanna wrapped around his face appeared. As he came close the goon started to shiver. Then i recogonized the man he was the vigilante the news speaks of and goes by the name ' The Thrash'
"Dont come any closer or i will shoot her" the goon shivered
The next thing is the man in black threw a knife on the goons hand dropping the gun followed by another knife on his head. The news said he was good with knifes and hell, they were correct. Hailee ran towards me hugging me and crying.
"Let's go home" i said wiping her tears
"What about y/n?" She asked.
Shit how did i forgot him i thought.
"I will text him to go back home he might be around here somewhere" i said .
"Thats not right" she said
"Dont worry about him. Look at you," i said and we both left the mall
Thank god we were safe is all i was thankful for
